2022.01.20 16:42 yomso Can a hamster eat itself?
My friend told me she once had two hamsters and the male one bit off/ate the female. She buried her in the backyard, and the next morning the male was found dead and very bloody in the cage. Some parts of his lower body was gone.
She thinks the only possible explanation is that he ate himself to death. Google says hamsters can’t eat their own body but they do sometimes chew on their wounds. But she says it didn’t seem like that was the case. Then what happened? Did her hamster really eat himself to death or are there better explanations?

2022.01.20 16:42 No_Basket_8160 Dexter dying was a good thing
Dexter was working a full time job and staying up all night to hunt and kill villains. Our guy needed to take sometime off lol.
Ps. If there a season two I think it gonna show how Harrison has to navigate his dark passenger alone because he killed his dad. The only person to actually understand him. Or Harrison turns into the villain like the ones that Dexter used to hunt. If Dexter turn into Harrison ghost I’m not watching lol 😂.

2022.01.20 16:42 m2wolf Trae, KD, and what happens at 4:01 pm today
Let's unscientifically answer a couple questions:
1) What is the Trae moment going to be worth?
2) What is the new KD moment going to be worth after 4:01 pm today?
TL;DR -- Trae's gonna be worth at least $50, probably closer to $75, with a potential to jump into the $100s on a challenge pump. Durant's new moment will retain value, somewhere between $20-$30 until February 1st, at which point it'll probably plummet but will still retain more value than a common 60k because of its historical value. The market might not immediately recognize any of this. On top of that, with the EV of a series 2 pack about $30, the "value" of completing both these challenges today is somewhere around $80 to $100.
This is not financial advice. Just me procrastinating.
Trae -- I've seen people try to estimate costs of these MSFE moments as a % of the price of that player's existing moments. I don't think that tracks at all. I think the proper way to estimate the cost of these moments is to figure out the average opportunity cost to buy into the challenge. For instance, the bottleneck for Mobley was Vanderbilt, which had a low listing of $299 at 3 pm on January 14th. At the time of this post, Mobley MSFE has a floor of $299.
When there's a single bottleneck, this is obviously easy to figure out. With this Trae, there's not a single bottleneck. The question is did people have to buy one or two Durants in order to get the Trae? The current series 2/3 common Durants range from $32 to $87, averaging out to $60, without consideration for individual mint count. So, let's say challenge cost of $60.
Other factors influencing the price will of course be the mint count of the moment and comparable moments of Trae. First question -- any comparable Trae mint counts? Looks like final mint will be around 10k. Trae has a series 2 layup mint of 15k for $9, series 2 playoff assist 11.5k for $14, and a series 2 assist mint of 7500 for $46. Second question -- these fandom moments have been eligible to be used in the place of rares for hard challenges. Trae's always in competition for a challenge night. So if this can be used in place of a rare, what's Trae's cheapest rare? $539.
So there's this huge gap between the trae common 15k for $9, trae common 7500 for $45, then his cheapest rare at $539. These fandoms are that gap between common and rare. The market is gonna be thirsty to fill that gap. This moment is worth more than a common, much less than a true rare.
What about other MSFEs? Jaylen Brown is probably the most comparable and his bottleneck was basically Buddy Hield. Lowest listing at 3 pm on January 17th? $43 with the price hovering in the mid-30s for most of the day, not too far off from the Brown MSFE low price of $30 today. And Brown's cheapest rare is $179, thus much less of a gap between the common and rare price (so if someone can afford the rare over the fandom, they should just buy the rare...and they do). (I would also argue Brown's fandom is underpriced and we'll see that price go up once people realize they can use it for hard challenges.)
So, compared to the Brown MSFE, Trae will most likely be a smaller mint count for a much more popular superstar who has a much larger gap in price between his common and rare. So we can safely establish this moment will be worth more than $30.
Another way of possibly assessing its value -- purely on speculation challenge. If a player doesn't have a rare, TS allows the TSD. And if a fandom can be used for a rare, then the transitive value of these three (TSD/no rare, rare, and fandom) are roughly equivalent for challenges. So a player who can hit frequently on challenges, like Trae, similar mint count, and only has a TSD/no rare? Vanderbilt, who's got a floor of $47. So we can safely say the floor *should be* more than $47 (I doubt it will be when it drops tonight).
In my estimation, based on the opportunity cost of the challenge, the gap in the "Trae market", comparable MSFE and TSD/no rare moments, the price is gonna settle around $50-75, which considering he has a 7500 mint for $46, is a bargain, but considering it'll be a 10k mint, might sound insane. But just wait till it pumps on a challenge night. If it hits on a challenge, it'll be in the 100s. Everyone is gonna want one before that happens. With the TS market being insane, I think we can see the price fluctuate between $30 -$150, depending on FUD/FOMO, until it settles around the above price range (and I really think it's gonna be closer to $75, but...who knows).
What could kill its value? The release of more Trae rares, which could happen next week! Who needs a fandom when you have an actual rare?!
On to the second question -- what is KD gonna be worth at 4:01 pm today?
Stop thinking of this as a 60k moment. Until february 1st, this is a 15k. They reserved 50k for new users. They released 10k in the pack drop. The starter challenge requires to hold until the end of the month and there's almost 6k completions. Don't think we can find out how many starter packs have been purchased and the users are not doing the challenge, and thus can sell their KD moment if they so choose. So how many of these KDs are actually in the wild right now? More than 10k, less than 20k (Durant's series 2 15k had a low of around $35 before this pump). How many KD moments have KD commentating? How many KD moments tie in to nabtopshot's first big marketing push? And what's the challenge for Friday night? Is the KD takeover over? From their blog,
"There will be more surprises in store for KD’s fans, our existing community, Flash Challenge lovers and members of the Nine Lives Lounge, too. Details on all of that are coming soon."
So if you want to dump your 60k KD for $10 at 4:01 pm, please go right ahead. I will buy it. The value of this moment won't truly plummet until February 1st, when the newcomer challenge is done. And even then, this moment will have a unique historical value.
