2022.01.20 16:48 Maryjane42069 Is there really that much poop in meat?
I've been eating meat forever but I hear there is a substantial amount of fecal matter in steak.
While hearing that info I just happened to be in the middle of enjoying a steak. I am no longer hungry.
Can someone please help me regain my appetite with some facts

2022.01.20 16:48 Dianag519 I'm rewatching and some things are standing out...
First of all I only think Kody was ever really in love with just Meri and Robyn. Janelle and Christine are just friends. I think his friendship with Janelle is really good though.
Christine has been in a downward spiral ever since Robyn entered the family and it's just made worse by them being so "in love" and new. She struggles with jealousy more than i remember. She loved being the youngest newest wife and she can't get over a new wife. She comments that she thought they were the best couple ever. I think more than the other wives too untill Robyn. She also says things were so easy with Kody and I think she just wants it to be easy again and doesn't want to do the work.
Kody also spent a lot more time with the kids back then. He also spent more quality time with the wives than later on. I think moving out of the one home was actually the start of their problems. They all wanted to get back into the one home but I know eventually Christine won't want it anymore.
Meri also struggle with jealousy some. She supposedly is the one that wanted another wife and liked Robyn, but she is already crying in one of the first episodes talking about sometimes she thinks of leaving. They should have never taken on another wife. Also Meri and Robyn were much closer at first. I remember thinking they were going to turn into two groups of wives... but that never really happened. I still think Meri and Robyn are close but not as much as before.
Lastly, I feel bad for the kids. The kids are being told in season three how they are going to get them back in the one home. And they never do it... they end up in the cul-de-sac which is not exactly what they promised by decent and then they move again uprooting them all over and back separated from their siblings and other moms. I feel like they were made promises that were never kept.

2022.01.20 16:48 yummytoenails After 8 days hospitalized with COVID and double pneumonia, my disabled mom is coming home today.
Words cannot describe how happy I (19F) am to say these words: My mom (51F) gets to come home today! Ever since she was diagnosed with COVID on January 2nd, I was worried. She has congestive heart failure, hypertension, obesity (5'9, 385 pounds at the time of diagnosis), rheumatoid arthritis, anemia... the works. And on top of that, she had only received one of her vaccine doses. She was due for her 2nd one just 4 days after she got diagnosed. COVID was hard for her. She had a fever that kept coming and going, she lost her appetite, she was so weak and fatigued, she had an icky cough that wouldn't go away... but she seemed to be getting better.
Until January 12th. She was extremely short of breath, breathing faster than 40 breaths per minute, her temperature was 103.5°F, and she was sweating buckets yet shivering at the same time. She was delirious, she was aggressive and unlike herself and the cherry on top of the cake was that her blood oxygen levels were 91, the lowest they had been, so I did what nearly any daughter would do... I called an ambulance. They came within 10 minutes and immediately put her on oxygen. Seeing my mother be wheeled away with an oxygen mask velcro'd to her face was the scariest sight I had witnessed and I didn't know what else to do but to bawl my eyes out. This was the first time in my entire life that I realized that I may lose my mother.
My mother remained on oxygen for the rest of the night and the rest of the next day. She went to the hospital on Wednesday the 12th, got diagnosed with double pneumonia on Thursday the 13th, and got off oxygen Friday the 14th. On the 13th, she had to get a blood transfusion because her blood levels were so low; they were 6 when they should have been 11. On the 14th, she was removed from oxygen and she has been breathing on her own and her oxygen levels have remained at a steady 98-100 since then. Her blood pressure has been near perfect, she hasn't had a fever, her voice has come back, she's barely coughing anymore, no more shortness of breath, her taste and smell are coming back... pretty much all her COVID symptoms are going away or are gone.
Since being diagnosed with COVID, my mother has lost 20-30 pounds. She is now about 350-360 pounds, maybe even less since the pants I packed for her to come home in now can't even stay up. She's getting her appetite back, slowly but surely, and she's getting better and stronger with each day. As a disabled person who stays home basically 24/7, my mom never thought she would get COVID. I didn't either, honestly. But she did, and the outcome could have been a million times worse than what it was. Even the doctors at the hospital said that if I had waited another 20 minutes to call the ambulance, my mother would have slipped into a coma from how much oxygen she lost. My disabled mother with at least 7 comorbidities made it through this. She still has a little bit of a haul before she's back to normal, but she's about 80% now and she made it and I couldn't be happier. I wish nothing but the same success and happy ending for everyone out there dealing with something similar.
TL;DR : My (19F) partially vaccinated mother (51F) with congestive heart failure, hypertension, obesity, anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. was diagnosed with COVID on January 2nd. Seemed to be getting better but took a turn for the worse on January 12th with a high fever, shivers, delirium, fast and shallow breathing, and blood oxygen levels of 91. Got admitted to the hospital and got diagnosed with COVID double pneumonia. Was on oxygen for 2 days, got taken off and has been breathing on her own with oxygen levels steadily at 98-100. Had to get blood transfusion on January 13th because of anemia. All vital signs are good, most COVID symptoms are gone, and finally after 8 days in the hospital, she gets to come home today.

What is the value of the pocket dimension rewards?
I'm level 71, my roster isn't great for this pocket dimension but I've got to the last node and it's kicking my ass. The event is almost over and I'm wondering if I should burn cores at this point to get through it and if so, how many before I'm wasting money?

2022.01.20 16:48 abmangone [SPOILERS] The Dragons
Watching the 2 dragons die are some of the only scenes that I can hardly stand to watch in the series. I hate hearing them scream and cry to each other while they bleed out and crash into the ground/water. I’m not an emotional person at all, so it shocked me how much it bugs me, but it really breaks my heart every single time.
Obviously Dany & Dragons fans like myself would be upset by this. Even viewers who didn’t care for Dany probably were because the dragons are cool, but I actually have trouble watching the scenes most of the time. They really just bother me.
Anyone else feel similarly?

2022.01.20 16:47 littlestcomment Giannis / Khris Face Mashup
Does anyone have the clip from when they did the face mashup of Giannis & Khris? I’m trying and failing to describe it to a friend and of course my google-fu is failing me. Maybe it’s called something other than a face mashup and that’s why I can’t find it, or maybe Giannis was so put off he made them remove all traces of it from the internet, but if someone out there has either that clip or even just the picture itself, you’d be my hero.
And if no one has it, I’ll settle for someone else at least confirming this isn’t just something my brain created during a seizure or something.

I hate it when I am reading Fma crossover fanfic and Ed has his alchemy when he is in another universe. The 2003 Fma made it clear that alchemy only works in his world, so if it doesn’t work in our world it shouldn’t work in ex: Naruto world.

ADVANCE PRAISE FOR Mind Lit in Neon by R.J. Lambert
In Mind Lit in Neon, RJ Lambert imagines a world where mother, father, and brother mingle with Camus and Borges and Stein, Nancy Reagan and Whitney Houston. Let the revelations come as they may, this world is alive to itself and moving to the music Lambert paints: all our days and nights: the siren of an ambulance, the first robin, a morning’s breeze—so many sounds vivid against the skin. –Mary Ann Samyn, author of Air, Light, Dust, Shadow, Distance
The wind blows through these poems, as if through a sax or a bassoon—the limitless delights of nature activating the narrowest corridors of human invention to produce strange and melancholic melodies. “Sometimes the quiet conjugates me like a verb,” Lambert writes, summarizing this book’s attention both to silence and to language, and to the poet’s own two-way portal between them: his titular (and singular) “mind.” A series of poems devoted to “streaming” music, from Chopin and Mozart to Whitney Houston and Frank Ocean, demonstrate Lambert’s virtuosic ear, while his true forbears are Auden, Bishop, Merrill, and Doty (though he does a killer impression of Stein). With grace, grit, wit, and winsomeness, Lambert forms out of the quiet atoms of verse a fierce and lively hand. That hand, I’m pleased to report, plays unforgettable music. –Justin Jannise, author of How to Be Better by Being Worse
