2022.01.29 05:25 Spare-Refrigerator59 Resolving order for multiple cascades
Hi everyone. I have recently made a [[Maelstrom wanderer]] and am pretty sure that I'm playing it correctly but though I'd check with the hive mind here.
For example: [[Sarkhan's unsealing]] is in play and I cast [[Apex devastator]]. The cascade triggers hit [[ram though]] first, then [[malignus]], [[sweetgum recluse]] and a random ramp spell. I would order all of this on the stack from top to bottom like this: apex --> sarkhan trigger --> ram though --> malignus --> sarkhan trigger --> sweetgum --> sakhan --> ramp spell
This means that I'd resolve it with sweetgum ETBing 1st and gaining no +1 counters, but then malignis would enter before ram though resolves to become the ram through target (the other target an opponent creature that hasn't already been killed the earlier 2 sarkhan triggers).
Is this correct, or would every cascade trigger occur and then resolve before the next one kicks in?

2022.01.29 05:24 MofoPro Handgrip for the new 3DS XL model suggestions ?
Just looking to get something to use with the new 3DS XL to make it more comfortable to use , preferably without covering the cart slot but if its good and easy to take on or off not a deal breaker . Doesn't necessarily need the top screen lid part to be covered either for extra protection just more comfortable on the hands and doesn't break the bank.
I have seen some silicone covers that seem useful but some reviewers say they slip around a bit and cover the shoulder buttons and make them harder to use , but if you do have them would still love to hear your experience with them. Amazon would be the place I'm ordering because I have a $20 gift card I can use.

2022.01.29 05:24 Flauschziege How does the rice-calqualation work?
Question in title.
Uncooked rice is stated to be around 350 kcal, while cooked is 120.
So how does that calq work? If I put on 100 grams of rice and cook it, does the cooked rice suddenly have 120? Or is the caloric loss because the rice gains weight by absorbing water and water has 0 kcal?
Because if that is how it works it's pretty damn cheap of all these magazines to claim that this is something incredible.
I mean, if I soak a 20g 50kcal gummi bear in water and it absorbs 80ml of liquid and just claim its caloric value lowered by a factor of 5, that is pretty cheap.
I've been counting calories and this just baffles me.

2022.01.29 05:24 random__thought__ ITAW for Chekov's Gun-type questions in exam questions?
For example, an exam has two nearly identical questions except for one key difference. As a result, the test taker tends to assume the answers to each question will be different. Or, a question gives a hint emphasizing a seemingly unimportant bit of information that actually becomes necessary to solve the problem. Of course, while this reasoning is likely to work especially on exams without trick questions, a clever test writer could include irrelevant, distracting information in the question to bait the test taker into thinking that information is necessary. An even simpler trend which is less useful against more well-written tests is when there is a series of 5 questions with the same 5 possible answers for each, and a decent proportion of tests will assign one question to each answer. I have not yet been able to find a term for this trend/weakness? in test-writing, and this idea made me think of Chekov's gun in writing stories. Anyways, I think anyone who's taken enough tests in school has reached this idea or at least subconsciously expected these results as they work through their test. Thanks for reading.
