2022.01.19 22:55 armenia4ever How to citadel?
So in order to grind certain challenges, I need citadels. Lots of em. (Warspite and West Virginia in particular.)
When I do get citadels, it seems random and varied. I've also managed to score some with HE rounds instead of just AP.
Is there a certain range I should switch to HE or AP rounds for the best chance at citadel? Should I aim at the bow, stern or, superstructure?
Feel like I'm missing something.

2022.01.19 22:55 dcfan105 How do get started on Unity project to test if information was sent successfully using SPI/I²C?
So I'm currently doing a firmware test engineering co-op and I'm currently supposed to be learning the skills needed to write a program to test if information was sent successfully between two hardware devices that communicate via SPI and/or I²C. I'm supposed to use C and/or C++ with Unity. I don't have the exact project requirements yet (I'm meeting with my project leader on Friday to get some clarification from him).
I don't have that much coding experience and no firmware experience -- I've had an intro programming course using C++, basic Python in a data science class, a few Matlab projects in a math class, and a few assembly code projects in a class on assembly code and computer architecture. My manager knew that when he hired me as an intern (I think he hired me more for my experience with circuit analysis and digital logic design, as that's also relevant to a lot of their firmware projects) and my project lead is aware as well, so right now they have me just doing a lot if self-study and I'm supposed to reach out to other people on the team if I have questions or need help, which I've been doing.
They gave me a textbook on test driven firmware development using C and Unity and I've gotten an decent high level understanding of how testing works in Unity in general from that and from looking at example code I found online, and from code my team lead gave me and told me to look through. I think he wrote it a few months and it's part of a larger project my assignment is a part of. I've also spent a lot of time learning about more advanced concepts in C/C++ that weren't covered in my class but that keep showing up in examples (e.g. static variables). I'm making progress in learning more about the languages in general and about Unity and how unit testing works, but all the examples and info in the textbook keep leading me down rabbit holes and I don't know when to stop digging into the details of one thing and go back to the bigger picture because I don't have a super clear idea of what I should be focusing on in order to get to where I have enough background knowledge to start actually writing the type of program my lead is looking for.
Where do I get started on that type of thing, beyond just researching the general concepts of Unity and unit testing in C and then getting lost in the details of all the examples I find? Are there more specific concepts I should be looking into? (I have looked into I²C and SPI already, as well as some of the details of the specific hardware devices already, to be clear.) Or some sort of general template/structure that'd be useful for this type of program?

2022.01.19 22:55 CuriousSuspect99 Jeopardy Champions - Where's the diversity?
I had a great discussion with friends about why there's such a lack of gender diversity with the top Jeopardy earners of all time. There's some diversity, but clearly the gender diversity is not representative of the population and probably (definitely) not representative of the previous applicants and contestants. The EEOC would argue that clearly something is impacting/causing the lack of gender diversity since the population representing the top Jeopardy earners is more than two standard deviations different than the 'feeder pool' of players. I mean, men don't have any physiological advantage over women when it comes to competitions of intelligence. So why is it so many of the top players are men? I personally believe it's because society has traditionally favored men to learn more, experience more and be more aggressive (wagering, clicking the button, etc.). What other explanation can there be for such lopsided statistics. I believe women will eventually catch up as society increasingly provides women with the same opportunities and environment as men. But that will likely be a long time from now. I mean, we've only just begun to encourage STEM with young women and pursue educations/careers still dominated by men. I'm curious to know what others think about this. By the way, Amy Schneider rocks! How can you not root for her? Yes, it was Amy being transgender that initiated this conversation, but I think she would appreciate the discussion.

2022.01.19 22:55 SheperdsHay How dumb is Jackie Jr?
After Richie’s death, Tony tells Jackie Jr. that Richie was a rat. Why the fuck does Jackie Jr. believe him? Or did he just act like he believed Tony cause he knew he couldn’t do anything about him being killed?
It doesn’t make sense why a Capo would become a rat after doing 10 years in the can, so how could Jackie Jr. believe Tony?

2022.01.19 22:55 harperK88_0w0 Long scale bass strings too short for my 34” bass.
I have a Peavy Forum bass. Don’t know much about it, I bought it second hand. It’s in great condition. I bought some RS66LD strings for it, but they are too short. The bass is 34” scale. I am confused. Should I buy extra long scale???

2022.01.19 22:55 meowruby Functional medicine doc appointment tomorrow
Has anyone seen one of these? Tired of being bounced around. My cardiologist said nothing about pots in April 2021 when i saw him initially (i had printed out a couple months of 24/7 heart rate monitoring) he just told me to eat more salt and drink a lot of water and sport drinks, and to “get the autoimmune thing figured out”. This was after my rheumatologist found nothing in my tests to suggest autoimmune disease and diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, but my GP who has RA, lupus, and reynauds talked about it possibly being more complicated than just fibro. I was super sick with who knows what in Feb 2020, saw rheumatologist in June 2020, and cardio in April 2021. My symptoms have significantly worsened since i saw the rheumatologist.
I have the classic symptoms, orthostatic intolerance, inappropriately high heart rate when standing or doing activity, neck muscle spasms and hypermobility, blood pooling in hands/feet/legs etc. It goes on. My mom has hEDS and had a c5-c7 fusion. Her biological mother was diagnosed with RA at 17, she’s since passed from complications that I do not know too much about (my mom is adopted)
This new doctor already has impressed me with just how thorough the intake forms were. I’m trying so hard to get my hopes up. I’ll only have 60 minutes to meet with her over video call and i’m worried about sounding like i’m self diagnosing but i’m also desperate to get my life back. I have a fairly active job and can barely keep up with it without crashing super hard for the rest of the day.
Any advice on how to be concise with her without over explaining (i have adhd so i tend to ramble) or solidarity would be appreciated! Thank you for reading. I just want to help her help me to figure out what is going on, POTS or not, beyond showing her my heart rate graphs.
