2022.01.20 17:15 Justanotherteenager9 I heard or called the name Astaroth repeatedly in my dream last night
I don't know if it's a sign to contact her. Her name was said in my voice but I was not speaking or even lucid. I'm so new I don't have half of the ritual items ready right now. Is it wise to take my time to contact her or do I gather what knowledge I have and invoke asap? I could post the whole dream but it's pretty long...and violent..

2022.01.20 17:15 Coach-Cay Free video sessions for players.
Im the head coach a U18A hockey team. I’m looking to expand my coaching into online video sessions. I’ve played hockey my whole life and played 4 years of junior hockey. I’m offering free video breakdowns of gameplay or individual skill sessions/drill breakdowns. My hockey team is currently 21-1-5 for the season. I’m hoping to help as many kids get to the next level as possible.

Flying out of Manchester terminal 1 on Saturday morning with easyJet. First flight out since Feb 2020. Has anyone flown out of Manchester airport recently? Is the airport quiet? Does it take longer to drop bags, get through security etc.?

2022.01.20 17:15 UntestedEngineer OSFP auto-cost reference-bandwidth vs static link ospf cost
In a large scale network connecting diverse locations (between cities) is it preferred to use auto-cost reference-bandwidth or static link ospf cost?
The advantage of auto-cost reference-bandwidth is that the OSPF cost takes care of itself, however if you have device diversity within locations a potential sub-optimal path based on actual link latency could be chosen due to transiting less devices across regions..
The advantage of using static link ospf cost (IE: manually configure cost on both sides based on the average link latency) is that you can always guarantee an optimal path based on latency, however the disadvantage is that whenever underlying links are replaced manually configured ospf cost needs to be accounted for as to not impact optimal path of the OSFP topology between any two points in the network.
Consider 80% of the links in question 10G with 20% as 1G. Auto-cost reference-bandwidth would be set to 10000.
I realize this is more of an architecture discussion/question but unsure if I am thinking about this wrong way or missing things.

2022.01.20 17:15 TheBestOrWorst I don't know how to play with my deaf baby.
I want to preface this by saying please, please be kind in the comments because I am a new Mom in a fragile state of mind. I apologize if I come across as ignorant. I am doing my best and really just want to do whatever I can to make my baby happy.
My daughter is one month old and we just found out this week that she is deaf. It is difficult to play with a one month old to begin with, but there are additional challenges when they can't hear you. Talking, singing, etc. are big ways that parents interact with their newborns, and we still do those things, but it doesn't really get her attention or elicit a response because she really can't hear us at all.
I try to get her attention with my hands or by moving my face into her line of sight. I've started trying to sign with her as well, but my ASL knowledge is very limited. We do the ABCs a lot. I put colorful toys around her and wiggle them.
I guess I am just looking for some support and/or reassurance. I feel like a bad mom because I don't know how to engage with my baby. I have a huge list of resources but it all just feels insanely overwhelming right now. Our next audiologist appointment isn't for another 3 weeks when they will tell us what next steps to take, so I'm feeling lost at the moment. I just want to play with my sweet little girl.

2022.01.20 17:15 ghosthud1 I’m just about finished with work, 6 years down the drain
6 years at a “progressive” tech firm In the UK. Put in more effort than every other half arsed tit that stays for less than 6 months because of the overworking, shitty pay and terrible management.
£12 per hour is what I have to show after 6 years and I’m no closer to moving up. They have “put up” with my medical condition in their own words over the last couple of years. Nearly 3 years from diagnosis. Performance review in a week and the last 2 I was clinging at everything I could to save my position (3 absences and some for hospital appointments which were booked off using holiday), they even agreed to a change in shift/flexible working but went back on this as it wasn’t working for them.
Teasing me with potential promotions, honey dicking is an obsession and I keep falling for it. Bonuses wiped out even after 6x net gain for the company during COVID.
Sometimes I wish my tumour was cancerous to get over with the stress of working, that’s how bad it is. But because it’s invincible it isn’t a problem. I can’t claim for help, I can’t claim benefits, I can’t get treatment because it’s too intrusive, 2 medical opinions and watch and wait is the best approach, COVID shat on any chance of treatment.
Daily brain fog, fatigue headaches and with the added stress of a company that couldn’t give a shit about me is going to make me burst.
Should I just hit the kill switch and look for another position, hide my condition and try my best? I lose whatever safety net I have if I just leave and I can’t do that to my family.
What the hell do I do.

2022.01.20 17:15 derekcentrico 55oled popping clicking w Atmos audio
I did several factory resets and magically most of my long-term problems disappeared great. However, any movies playing with Atmos audio to my Sonos Arc sound bar have tons of popping clicking and odd cut outs especially on more intense audio utilized scenes. I've used numerous cables and the issue doesn't happen if I use the HDFury Arcana intermediary device.
Is this audio degradation for Atmos over eARC a known issue for resolution? Anyone find a workaround without needing intermediary devices?

2022.01.20 17:15 UtopiaCrusader 5 reasons you should not deliberately catch Omicron to 'get it over with'
5 reasons you should not deliberately catch Omicron to 'get it over with'
1. IT'S NOT A 'BAD COLD'
2. YOU COULD GET 'LONG COVID' Losing your sense of smell (and therefore your sense of taste) has become a more common symptom in mild cases of COVID-19. Studies show some 80 per cent of people recover the ability within a month or so, but others still can't smell or taste after six months or more. An unfortunate few may never regain those two senses.
Significant fever, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, sore throats and heavy congestion are often reported even in milder cases of Omicron variant, Murphy said, leaving people debilitated for days.
3. YOU'RE SPREADING THE DISEASE TO CHILDREN
As unpleasant as that may be, it's only one of a number of health concerns that can last and last after a case of COVID-19. Called "long Covid," the phenomenon is characterized by such [debilitating symptoms](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/long-term-effects/index.html) as shortness of breath, severe fatigue, fever, dizziness, brain fog, diarrhea, heart palpitations, muscle and abdominal pain, mood changes and sleep difficulties. Severe forms of long COVID-19 can damage lungs, heart and kidneys, as well as your mental health and [may qualify as a disability](https://www.hhs.gov/civil-rights/for-providers/civil-rights-covid19/guidance-long-covid-disability/index.html#footnote10_0ac8mdc) under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal statutes. "We're still trying to understand long Covid,"
4. YOU'LL STRESS THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Just over half (54 per cent) of children between the ages of 12 and 17 eligible for COVID-19 vaccines have been fully vaccinated in the U.S. Only 23 per cent of children between ages 5 and 11 have received their first dose, [according to the CDC.](https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracke#vaccinations_vacc-total-admin-rate-total) Because booster doses -- considered a key warrior in the fight against Omicron --were just [approved by the CDC](https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2022/s0105-Booster-Shot.html) for children as young as 12 last week, few children have received that third shot. That means any risky behavior that might expose you to Omicron, such as not wearing a mask, not following social distancing guidelines, or gathering with crowds, especially indoors, will potentially expose others who may then carry the virus to their children.
submitted by UtopiaCrusader to CoronavirusCanada [link] [comments]
By deliberately catching any variant of SARS-CoV-2, which is the official name of the novel coronavirus, "you're going to keep the pandemic going and possibly stress the health care system," Neither natural immunity or vaccinated immunity have known indicators for how long they will last before active t-cell immunity starts to wane. Those who have active immunity still have a probability of developing severe infection and ending up hospitalized. The Canadian Press are lying to you in every article they fail to mention immunity doesn't prevent you ending up in the ICU. That mandatory vaccine passport doesn't protect you or anyone around you like Trudeau says it should. Natural immunity depends on severity of infection and the biggest problem with "mild-symptoms" is the immunity from infection doesn't last more than 18 weeks. Vaccinated immunity fades after three to four months and will this is why "fully vaccinated" Canadians are presenting in the morgue. Natural immunity will last a bit longer but it's less effective when there's significant mutations. Those who have no immunity, because they refuse to get vaccinated, can go fuck yourselves straight to the morgue. Elective surgeries are being cut, and health care officials are worried that the nation's health system won't be able to do its job. "The health care system is not just designed to take care of people with Covid. It's designed to take care of kids with appendicitis and people who have heart attacks and get into car accidents," Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of Brown University's School of Public Health, told CNN on Sunday. "And all of that is going to be much, much more difficult because we have a large proportion of the population that is not vaccinated, plenty of high-risk people who are not boosted," he added.
