2022.01.22 15:13 piperpipboi A question; should I use a sand bowl/pit?
Hi! I have some good open space in my Lil gals home that I would like to add a bowl of sand that's deep enough j for her to dig and have some fun. She's two months old!
I know sand as a substrate isn't actually good so I will never use it for her whole house, but is it safe if it's contained in a little area?

2022.01.22 15:13 RoseButterflyTherese Modesty in Clothing and Sensual Dancing
Is belly dancing sinful? Or dancing in a sensual manner? A lot of a Carribean and Latin dancing is sensual. Is it sinful to wear clothing that attracts the opposite sex and accentuates a woman's feminine features? For example, wearing tight jeans, a miniskirt, a low cut shirt that shows cleavage. The answer isn't obvious to me. Women's bodies are meant to attract the opposite sex so why should we hide our feminine attributes? Youth only lasts for so long. I might as well wearing the short shorts now because I'm still relatively young and fit. I consider 31 relatively young.

2022.01.22 15:13 Particular-Fantastic Discussion on privacy, sound money and decentralized applications
| TLDR; We are in a temporary bear market, yes. But with that I would like to discuss more about the technology and maybe have a debate on the matter; hopefully maybe educate some people that isn't as experienced as some other is and how crypto could solve some big problems with our central system. I think there is a lot of room to grow with sound money and even decentralized applications, and it will probably be a big step for human rights and more freedom for regular people. |
TLDR ON TLDR; Me like crypto! crypto very democratic. Decentralization better than centralism because fairness. Crypto help with human rights maybe????
TLDR ON TLDR ON TLDR; Me likey-likey technology, buy dip if likey-likey tech too?
Human right to sound money and privacy
I'm a firm believer that countries fiat money can co-exist with bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies; with that said the only way to park your money in less “risky” assets that are store of value is precious metals and bonds. I take those example because those are the less risky assets while there are other assets but more speculative like housing and collectibles. Before you argue that crypto is the most risky of the risk, you need to remember that crypto is tiny. Still a lot of countries and banks ignoring crypto because it threatens their agenda. If it was a human right to park your hard-earned money on a blockchain where you achieve sound money, than you also get the opportunity to get a better life in the future. If everyone accepted that, a lot more people would be interested and would become less volatile market. Imagine if 20-30% of the human population want to save up to buy or build real estate, or live comfortable when you grow older. It would be easier to park it in sound money than to risk it in incompetent companies that can screw you over. You don't need to risk everything on the stock market to just keep phase with the inflation; because there is already a trustless asset where you need 51% of hash power to control it. Bitcoin for example is gold but a lot smarter, you can't send gold across the world in minutes, with bitcoin you always keep your “gold” on you if you memorize the seed phrase. Economists will always argue for inflation because it's an incentive to spend more money to keep the economy alive. Yea probably but I believe it also encourages a lot more unnecessary spending that also isn't sustainable for the climate. I believe it's better to spend on quality over quantity. Maybe a bit radical, but I rather have it little worse of a situation for myself than destroying all hope for future generations.
Banks and government will be against privacy because they believe that it will only be used for terror and anarchism. But when it comes to their own “privacy coin” aka paper cash, there is no problem. The sad truth is that there will always be money launder and crimes even with the most authoritarian state. With that, I don't think it's worth the risk of removing a democratic currency where you control the assets without every agent knowing every transaction and banks censoring your transfers. My opinion is that it's unfair for developing countries and also developed to be depended on poor monetary decisions by corrupt politicians. I still believe that this can co-exist with the current monetary system; I just like the opportunity and a choice for the matter. And don't forget that most of the world has an authoritarian bank in an authoritarian country. For god’s sake there are still 71 countries where it's illegal to be gay, so crypto is probably ain't for us but for people having unfair ruling over them.
I live in a democracy, I can say whatever I want and that is unfortunately a privilege of me . But the sad truth that isnt the case for everyone. When you live in a devoloped world you easily forget the struggle the world have. I know it sucks but It's always better to educate yourself than to be in denial. I like these kinds of maps because it shows another picture how we usally see things even if its uncomfortable information.
Smart contracts will be used to strenghten democracy and removing middleman greed
I truly believe that smart contracts will change how we see democracy and how to combat dictatorships and totalitarianism. After all, it's kinda easy to become authoritarian when a state control the media. With smart contracts, you have it hard to censor what's on the blockchain. People could whistle bow, talk about corruptions and overall give normal people a voice defending human rights. With smart contracts, you can store important documents and information that every person could access too, no longer have the possibility to change or censor that information; changing history for an example. People could maybe argue that there will be a lot more fake news or propaganda on the blockchain. But I believe that Web3 will solve that with real journalist getting paid with tips directly to them instead of a company with agenda. I kinda believe that the current system with earning by the clicks will be outdated because I hopefully want to believe people educate themselves on how to spot fake news and clickbait. If that happens then it's the people responsibility to help out journalism that risk their lives against corruptions. We possibly don't recognize it because we live in a developed country. But you can't deny that the world have more misery than it deserves and that's why it's important that some people isn't afraid on talking about the issues.
Another map to see the importance on freedom of press and why you should not ignore it.
With smart contracts, you can create every decentralized application out there. That minimize the middleman in a process which only benefits regular folks; creating fairer prices and often better experience. You could create the same opportunity and responsibility to every person on that decentralized platform. In today's system, even in democracies, It's hard to argue that everyone has the exact opportunity or responsibility because of lobbying or bribes. I want to live in a world where it's the people that makes decisions instead of couple people high up in the hierarchy. Smart contract can indeed solve that. With DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) you don't need CEOs, only code. It's the people that voice up for change and the code does the rest, a trustless and uncorrupted system. Rich people will always have a higher voice, but today's system you can't have a voice without money. At least DAOs will make it, you can be part of the system instead of a by-product.
Crypto is speculative, it can crash more, or it can bounce. I don't know what to expect, and it is very fun to gain some profits when it goes up. I would lie if I said I wasn't here for the money. But I think it's also one of the best investment to incentive for democracy and can help alot with devoloping countries. But with all the meme coins you can see how many retailers there were that have no idea what's the purpose of cryptocurrency. This post isn't probably for the advanced cryptotraders; they know this already. But I feel like many still don't see the possibility to reform the society. Governments are afraid of crypto even democracies because even democracies want a lot of power on their population. And I'm afraid in the future we forget how we had it. I might be little bit cynic, but even with this price action I feel proud to be a part of the community. Even if crypto would fail I think it's worth the risk to go against the current system. Even if it sounds sometimes like a cult I think the best thing to do when you talk about crypto with other is that you educate on what it can solve; instead of focusing the next 10x :)
Thank you so much for coming to my Ted talks.
