2022.01.23 11:50 CaptainMarth64 What's the best S-Video cable I can get for a NTSC N64?
I am looking for the best possible s-video cable I can get for my n64, I have a cheap one right now and it's fine but I see some lines that look weird and those lines don't exist on a regular yellow AV cable, but the picture overall is better. I live in Sweden so I would prefer a store that has fast shipping to Sweden.

2022.01.23 11:50 PearlaJ Proper Engine Break In Advice?
New 2021 6-speed WRX limited owner, with a whopping 20 miles. I have never had a car with this much power and it’s a tad intimidating. Any guidance for break in? I will hopefully have this car for a very long time.

2022.01.23 11:50 calypsopearl I told potential a employer I was Wiccan at an interview
I have a super wacky, crazy story of how I got initiated by my now high priestess who lives over a 1000 miles away from me. I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to train with her long distance, kind of out of pity lol...it was a lot.
Anyway, I hate remote training. It's not the same at all in a room with just me or just me and my coven sister. I've cried about it multiple times because I just wanted to be with my coven. The stars aligned one day and I decided I was going to move my life close to the covenstead. It's really complicated because my job requires me to be physically there so I'm now on my second interview which required a two hour flight. The first place I applied to didn't even let me know they weren't going to hire me and I got physically ill with the anxiety of waiting to hear if my life was going to change or not.
I came down to interview with another place, but someone reached out to me beforehand and I said I would meet with him too while I was down there if I had spare time.
The first place, Oh man I jive hard with these people. They were so awesome. Both me and the CEO were slightly hung over going in to my working interview lol...I had so much fun with these people it was buttering me up to really want to take this job. While on this work outing the CEO was talking about the diversity in his company and Wiccans were among the list and I said "HOL UP" I was floored. I showed him my tradition symbol tattoo that I worry employer's will see because I don't know how they'll react. Once he saw how happy I was, he texted the HR person asking who were the wiccans in the company and I had a chat with her. She showed me the sage stick Laurie Cabot made for her. I was over the moon.
The day of the interview, things didn't go as planned, but they went the way I had been fearing for a long time. I've been doing this job on my own and my few clients would boost my ego with compliments, so I wasn't even sure how good I was.
I didn't do too good, not because I was sick, but because there was stuff I just didn't know. So it turns out I would need more training, which meant less money. My feelings were hurt but I sincerely thanked him for being straight with me in a gentle way. He said that he still really wanted me to join and I said I would think it over.
I actually really wanted this job. I mean, that night before was probably buttering me up to convince me to work for a company that was going to be potentially very stressful as it was growing immensely. I didn't care, I wanted to grow even if it meant going home and crying every night. The very first person that trained me was unreasonable and mean and would make me upset, but I didn't care. I wanted this as my career.
I also was really on the wave length of their philosophy and almost everyone I met was the kind of person I would gravitate towards friendship simply because of the niche interests we have in common. It sounded like a networking dream come true which is important in this business.
But I still had to meet with the other person. It was a very small and modest business. The owner seemed like a sweet person that started the business in a slightly rural community because there wasn't much of our service there, and it's a service that's desperately needed.
Long story short, this would be a lot more of a comfortable position. I could stroll on in like I own the place and get started no sweat. He had any training I needed and would send me to places to learn from some of the best people in order to enhance the business. He also offered more money. It seemed like a no brainer, but the opportunities for the other place would be boundless if I put the work in. The evidence was in the other employees I would talk to privately. They were getting trained and making more money. I wanted to stand out. I wanted to be big.
At this job, I'll get the training I need, but networking would be almost zilch. I would learn more and make good money right away, but in a position like this, growing is really challenging.
Around the end of the interview, he asked what was bringing me to the area. I thought back to how good it felt to be open about my religion and to be embraced for it. So instead of just saying I wanted to be close to important people, I told him straight up that I was a Wiccan and I was coming down to be close to my coven.
I was nervous about how he would respond. He started telling me a story of a relative of his that dabbled in spells and magic and the results were quite amazing. And he said he was generally a spiritual person who believes in karma (law of attraction really). It felt great. Being in the broom closet at work sucks. There's always a fear of what if someone finds out and doesn't like it. Employers can find other reasons to squeeze you out so religion being a protected class doesn't guarantee anything.
Before I went down there, I prayed to the goddess to make my choice easy if I were to get both offers. Soooo...She basically delivered. I would have a low stress job that pays more and is a lot closer to my high priestess. Not to mention the numerous tarot spreads where the devil card kept showing up for the corporation and nothing but positive and stable cards for this guy. I loooooove not listening to reason.
So WOW this turned out to be a long ass post. Sorry about that. The point of the story was to say that if you are afraid of being found out at work, it may not be as bad as you think. There are people in positions where it's no question that they need to stay in the broom closet, but I think people might be more open to the idea than we expect.
Aside of that point, this became an interesting pilgrimage of sorts and a story I guess I really wanted to share. With an enhanced career dangled in front of me, I almost forgot the whole reason I came down in the first place. The corporation would eat the time and energy away from my coven trainging and possibly even my marriage. I think a balance is a better idea.
Thank you for reading!

2022.01.23 11:50 dopefienduk Can my dog's cracked tooth be saved?
My dog Miles cracked his tooth when he got carried away chomping on his reindeer antler. It made a loud crack sound, but he carried on chomping for a bit. There was a little bit of blood.
Later, when I was cleaning his teeth with his toothpaste on my finger, he yelped when I went near this area..
We didn't notice what was wrong at first, right maybe he just cut his gums, but took him to the vet who also didn't notice, thought maybe it was an infection, and gave him 5 days antibiotics and a quarter tablet of carprodyl quadri for the pain per day and told us to let them know how it was after that.
With the painkiller he's letting us get a closer look. So I took the picture and video here and saw it as a pretty bad crack in his tooth.
Here is the pic and video Miles's tooth
He is happy enough, playing with his ball and soft toys, was even doing this before the painkillers. But the crack looks pretty bad. Will he have to go under and have the tooth removed? Can it be fixed somehow?
He is 9 years 5 months old, cocker spaniel papillon cross, 6kg, Male, neutered, has had several teeth removed before, vet said some back teeth were rotten and when they had him under they found some wobbly ones and pulled them too. This happened last year, he was really wiped out for 2-3 weeks after so I'd hate to put him through it again. Today is day 4 off the 5 days of antibiotics. We are in England.

2022.01.23 11:50 gimmesomeofthatsomma MOVE Day 22 - Courage
I really loved the Maya Angelou quote in today's email write up that goes with the practice.
"Without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest."
I never really thought of "courage" as something I needed to worry about too nuch; it never resonated with me. But this quote points out that it often takes courage to be kind and honest... so insightful and inspiring. Gotta love Maya Angelou ❤
How did everyone find the practice? As usual, it was exactly what I needed and hit the spot.

2022.01.23 11:50 Vasabk11 Art gallery damaged by water and smoke from building fire, still no access after a month. Insurance questions…
Active federal (2 people died) and liability investigation has shut the building down for over a month now. I’ve watched water pouring out of my ground-floor gallery for 4 days straight because of the sprinklers and hoses from above and behind my space. I have not been able to get into my gallery for over a month now, and the building insurance and their law firm has scheduled a “joint inspection” for mid February.
I want to be prepared for dealing with my insurance adjuster: What things should I be looking for? What questions should I be asking? What information should I provide to get proper valuation for the consigned art and business property?
One of my main concerns is properly evaluating the condition of the art on the walls and in storage. Even if an artwork was untouched by fire or water, it was certainly affected by smoke and the frigid temperatures we have had for the last month. Art galleries are temperature-controlled for a reason, and the adverse effects of extreme temperatures will likely show up at a later time. I heard it being referred to as “diminishing value”.
Anyone have experience with this?

I guess this applies for the past few years, seeing as COVID has probably made these pretty tricky. Anyway, I work from home, and don't get the exercise I really need. Do yall have any experience in organized leagues here? Whether that be softball, basketball, etc? Ideally looking for something that isn't too competitive, given that I'm out of shape, lol.

2022.01.23 11:50 BWild2002 Win/Sum vs Win/AS Tires
PNW, we don't get much snow around where I live but from mid fall to mid spring the weather is spiritic and can be 80 and sunny one day or 40 and rain and sometimes ice, usually the latter. I am considering getting 2 sets of tires and finally enjoying my car. I am convinced SummeWinter tires are the best combo for the majority of people but my situation is different since the weather here is spiritic and while it gets cold it rarely gets freezing and when it does there's usually no reason to leave the house.
The reason why I am asking this is the fear of premature wear on winter tires, Say I put them on in November since the temp can usually dip pretty low some days, I'm worried on days where it's sunny and 70/80 degrees if they would wear prematurely. I don't plan on driving this car in the snow or ice, so would all seasons be the better choice, it is very rainy here, I would say more then half the days out of the year it rains here, so I want good traction in the rain.
