I finally received a large shipment of Sensecap miners. I've decided this isn't something that I want to take on solo or full time. I'm looking for a partner with experience who would be interested in a rev-share model to install and maintain them. Know anyone interested?

2022.01.26 19:47 JacklinNeptulon The trinket that could change Patch 9.2 Arena
| Days ago, I bit the bullet, installed the PTR client, and started digging for nuggets of intel concerning Arena in the upcoming Patch 9.2. One area of particular interest were the whopping 5 new PvP trinkets Blizzard will be adding to the game.|
If you read through it, you probably remember a few key takeaways:
This leaves Echoing Resolve sticking out like a sore thumb. And while my impression was that the cogs started whirring in a few heads, there was little discussion around it. Today, it is my intention to dig deeper and demonstrate just how much it could potentially change about Arena come Patch 9.2.
A reverse-Relentless slash Adaptation type deal https://preview.redd.it/o4zhjs3324e81.jpg?width=253&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e46c21e826777c051e3f3299071cd06dfc59ccc2
The Cosmic Gladiator’s Echoing Resolve sounds like a simple trinket. Baseline, it will increase the duration of Crowd Control effects on yourself by 20% (the reverse of Relentless, really), but you’ll be immune to the next interrupt or CC—a bit like Adaptation. What isn’t obvious is that, right now, there’s no cooldown to it. As I explained previously:
This means that while CC#1 will go through at 20% increased duration, CC#2 will be immuned. CC#3 will go through once again, at 20% increased duration, and CC#4 will again be immuned. This can go on forever, even if these 4 CCs happen within seconds. Interestingly, it does not protect you from 1 Interrupt AND 1 CC before the effect is spent—either of them will consume it and restart the process.
I spent quite some time thinking about what this means in purely practical, gameplay terms. My conclusion? This could be one of the few, very impactful trinkets, ever added to the game in terms of Arena—and yes, even considering Death Bringer’s Will and Bauble of True Blood from way back, both of which simply strengthened throughput. Echoing Resolve, instead, could turn tried-and-tested gameplay on its head.
Enough ado Do you know how BM Hunters like to Intimidation stun you with their pet into a Freezing Trap? Yeah, that won’t work. And that’s just one of many examples.
Mage’s Blink into Dragon’s Breath into Polymorph or Ring? Won’t work.
Tauren Druids Warstomp-ing you into a Cyclone? Nope.
Guardian Affinity’s Bear form Roar into Cyclone? That won’t work, either.
Night elf Druids Shadowmeld-ing into Rake into a Cyclone? Nein.
Bash into Cyclone? Nay.
Warriors’ Stormbolt into Fear (or vice-versa)? Denied.
WW Monks Paralyzing you so they can setup their Bonedust Brew in advance, before Leg Sweeping you? Won’t work.
Paladins HoJ-ing you into Blinding Light? Forget it.
Holy Priests Chastising you into a Psychic Fear? Negative.
Rogues Blinding you into Sap? Or Kidney Shot into Sap? Or Sap into Blind? Nix.
Shamans using Cap Totem stun to Hex you? Won’t work.
I could go on for quite a bit more, but these should be enough to put your mind to work.
What does this mean? So if so many of these tried-and-tested combination plays are made harder to execute with Echoing Resolved equipped, there is only one conclusion: the way you approach Crowd Control could be radically different in Patch 9.2 Arena.
It also means that more creative players will quickly focus on exacting a cost to this trinket, by trying to figure out how to make that 20% longer CC (when not Immune) really hurt—or how to best ‘cheese’ the procs.
It’s important to note that the Echoing Resolve buff (Immunity to the next Interrupt/Crowd Control) procs as soon as you are CC’d. Moreover, the buff itself can be consumed during that CC (unless it’s something like a Cyclone, which makes you immune to any re-applications). There is a small asterisk here, too.
For example, if you’re a Mage and you Polymorph a target with this trinket equipped, you won’t be able to consume the effect right away—a more “powerful” Polymorph effect would still be in place. You have to wait until the remaining Polymorph duration is lower than what a DR Polymorph would CC for. Another Mage-specific mechanic is to use Frost Nova as soon as you Polymorph—this trips up the servers, with the nova being registered before the sheep, consuming the effect and sheeping you at the same time.
Here, however, is the real kicker: interrupts (which are off the GCD) also consume the effect, even if there is nothing to interrupt, which goes counter to what the tooltip suggests. Whether Blizzard agrees with this could be the difference between this being a situationally great pick, or one that can be countered a bit too easily.
Watch as Counterspell consumes the buff. Intended?
A target on your back? Another important consideration is that you might attract a lot of attention to yourself, with your enemies looking to punish you for using Echoing Resolve. Say you meet a Rogue/Mage/X comp and they know you haven’t proc’d the immunity yet, or the game has just started.
If the Rogue is spec’d into Deeper Stratagem and you’re not an Orc, that Kidney Shot alone will stun you for a whopping 8.4 seconds. At any point during that stun, the Rogue will have to either sacrifice one global to Cheap Shot your immunity away, or Kick you, and then Cheap Shot you again, for 20% increased effectiveness. So that Cheap Shot will last 2.4 seconds. A third and final Cheap Shot will keep you another 1.2 seconds, for a total of 12 seconds of stun if timed perfectly!
The thing is, even without this trinket, this same scenario would still be quite dangerous anyway: Kidney Shot (7 sec) -> Cheap Shot (2 sec) -> Cheap Shot (1sec), for a total of 10 seconds. Regardless, 2 seconds is ages when a Rogue and Mage are going nuts at you, though do keep in mind that in the Echoing Resolve scenario, the Rogue would at least have to expend two GCDs (or one GCD + one Kick) just to remove your immunities. That’s up to two GCDs of damage, at least—and possibly a Kick—that you eliminate (the Mage and their Healer, however, will still benefit).
But perhaps the point is that you don’t have to play Echoing Resolve into RMX. Other comps might struggle to control you for long—and even if they do decide to Kick away the immunity, well, that’s one kick less stopping peels and eventual recovery.
Discuss? Most critical, I think, is whether Blizzard will “fix” this trinket. That is, while the tooltip says that it protects you against spell interruption, currently on the PTR, even empty kicks remove it. Kicks in nothingness are not, technically, an interrupt. So in a way, the fate of this trinket rests on whether Blizzard sees it this way, as it’s not too great that an empty, say Pummel, can currently consume it.

2022.01.26 19:47 panwauu Scraping Form in open browser window
For my job I have to fill forms in our webtool (that I cannot change or adapt). At my department we also need a local copy of the data. Up to now, I did fill the form and manually copy the needed data to an excel. I now would like to automate that.
The webtool uses a combination of session and jwt auth, thus a scraper is not that easy. I would prefer to somehow extract the data from a filled form in the browser. I remember that I could do this with IE and Excel back in the day but it seems not possible with modern browsers.
Do you have any ideas of how to approach this?
Hope the question does fit in webdev. It is somewhat related at least ;) Thanks for answers

2022.01.26 19:47 partypandas101 Handshake internships
First year business admin student. I’ve gotten 2 tech start up marketing/ sales internships almost immediately after the interview. They seem quite good even though they are start ups ( founders went to ivies/ they have articles on Forbes) I’m a bit suspicious though… why was it so easy …. Is it legitimate. ( one is unpaid and one is commission based pay I think just like what …. It almost feels too easy.) do u think these internships are worth it for resume building and work experience and what not or do u think it’s too easy or am I being cynical?
