2022.01.17 16:43 AlphaRose_v Hair follicle test
Hey y’all I am 29 about 147 pounds, I have smoked flour every day since August, somewhere around an eighth a week give or take. So I am goingTo go to work for a trucking company as soon as possible, they want you to be clean from weed for at least 90 days because they take a hair follicle test. I didn’t know that until today although I quit smoking already yesterday. I was planning on starting my training next month but I don’t know now because I can’t fail his drug test. Do you y’all have any advice on how to pass a hair follicle test in a month? Preferably without spending a shit load of money. Thank you!

2022.01.17 16:43 Bengalsfan847 Unpopular opinion: I hate singing happy birthday
Does anyone else feel this way? I absolutely dread it when someone comes in with kids and I can see they’re doing a birthday, even though it usually means good sales. I just find it so demeaning to have to sing happy birthday. The first people to make it to the bathroom to get out of singing are the lucky ones and the rest of us grown adults singing happy birthday just feels ridiculous.

2022.01.17 16:43 boatnofloat Could you imagine solo-mining ETH with Trex and hitting a block during the Dev-fee period?
I’ve seen a lot of posts about lucky solo miners, and I was thinking about playing the lottery with them until I remembered the dev fee period. I wish there was a less-gamble-y way to gamble.

2022.01.17 16:43 you_cant_pause_toast Is it ethical to put the burden of healthcare shortfalls on the poor?
As a liberal, I tend to lean toward Medicare for All as the system we should impement in the US. However, I'm also willing to concede that countries that implement socialized medicine do have problems with wait times and patients dying while on wait lists. That's a fact.
Another fact is that tens of thousands of Americans die each year because they are underinsured. They can't afford insurance or out-of-pocket expenses and don't even seek the help they need for fear of burdening their families with debt. And often families incur crippling debt getting treatments they need leading to GoFundMe healthcare - a luxury that again only benefits wealthy communities.
Can we agree on these points? I don't think they're that controversial. If so, let's continue.
To me, this illustrates that there's a shortage of healthcare in all modern/western countries. In countries with socialized medicine, that shortage is distributed equally among the population, but in the US that shortage disproportionately affects lower-income households.
Socialized medicine: - People die waiting for care
American health care: - People die because they can't afford health care - Families often are straddled with debt whether a person lives or dies.
If we can implement socialized medicine at a cost that is more-or-less neutral for most Americans while maintaining the same quality of care, wouldn’t that solve the problem with the healthcare system putting Americans in crippling debt? We’d still have people dying as a result of the system (as we do now) they just wouldn’t all be poor.
Perhaps we need to admit that it just may not be economically possible to take care of everyone’s health problems, that there will always be people who can’t get care due to high cost or high demand. And if that’s the case, is it ethical to put that burden on the poor like we do in the US today?
I appreciate your thoughts.
