2022.01.20 08:15 Nostalg33k Help a noob with staking on Binance.

Hello. I decided that 2022 would be my year to start staking/DeFi. I'm starting with a strong and solid platform because I'm scared of all the DeFi hacks.
I've decided to go with Binance Earn and I have some BNB (maybe I should use another coin because this one seems highly volatile and I could have loss despite the interest no? )
I'm trying to get a grasp of what gives the best returns/ what are the risks and it is a bit overwhelming.
There are a lot of options such as:
DeFi Staking, Locked Sttaking, BNB vault, Liquid swaps, launchpool, Savings.

Could you explains what are the pros and cons of each one of these options. Tell me what is the best risk/reward option. I don't want to be in a high risk situation or at risk of a rug pull or anything.
If you could help me navigate in my first time, that would be great !

2022.01.20 08:15 No_Common_20 La Cité Oxford Properties

Hi, I’m (probably, hopefully) coming to mcgill for fall 2022. I’m an international student from India and looking into off-campus housing with a friend. I’ve just started looking, so I came across La Cité (oxford properties) in downtown montreal. If anyone’s lived there, or you know anyone who’s lived there, could you tell me a little about your experience and how it is in general? As an international student, coming to montreal and looking at properties is not a possibility for me, so I’m completely relying on the internet :// any help appreciated!

2022.01.20 08:15 Negative-Parfait-423 Hi there! Does anyone know of a Taiwanese restaurant in Copenhagen? Or bakery?

Our friend is having a very low key town hall marriage with a woman from Taiwan. She won’t have any of her mates there and we want to try and see if we can organise a small cake for her as a special nod to her home- more specifically a pineapple cake. Any tips would be super helpful! Thank you :)

I don't know why suddenly this "Progress Bar" object disappeared from my artwork (I checked visibility is still 100%), and I see the icon before the layer disappeared, Does anyone know what happened?
The display on the main component is ok, and even I reset all overrides still can't bring back that object.

2022.01.20 08:15 Qu33nCcL Questions about Season 8

I've only flipped through the first volume of season 8 (I want to savour it) so the only thing I know for certain about season 8 is that the books are incredibly hard to get - at least where I live.
However, I've stumbled upon 2 reasonable priced issues of vol. 2 and 3 this season by pure luck and I'm flirting with the idea of buying them which brings me to my actual questions:
Without giving away any spoilers, can anyone tell me if those two have the witty and fun dialogue we know from the show, are are well written in general and (bc he's my favorite character) if Spike appears in them?

2022.01.20 08:15 IEnumerable661 Help me find a goal piece

I have just re-taken up piano again after a long time. To make the backstory short, quit piano at Grade 4 ABRSM and concentrated on my metal bands as a guitar player. I don't totally regret it, but wish I had kept piano up. But c'est la vie.
I've recently got myself back into piano and after I get my technique back up again properly I want to take in-person piano lessons. Given my music taste, I am looking for some good crossover pieces that will guide me more where I want to go vs something that a typical classically trained teacher will know.
To put it short, my main influence and inspiration behind all this is a guy called Øyvind Mustaparta, stagename Mustis, who played for a band called Dimmu Borgir and Susperia. I won't blame you if you have no idea who I'm talking about, but this is him playing the piano parts only to one of Dimmu Borgir's most eclectic songs.

At the moment I am just relearning technique on things I remember doing such as scales in various motions (e.g. both hands together, contrary motion, etc). I have used a lot of the theory side of things in my guitar playing over the years so a bunch of it is coming back from a piano perspective. I can also read music still as I still notate a lot of guitar as it's just how I learned.
As for a goal piece, ideally I'm looking for advice based loosely on the videos posted here for what direction to look at. I'm not at all overly familiar with a lot of classical or baroque music in general. Ideally I'd love if someone looked at these videos and instantly thought "XYZ piece would be a good one to go for!" Ideally something that can take into account the technique used in some of these things (and others besides of course), different voicings, intervals, etc. While I'm sure I'll likely be starting on Twinkle Little Star, I wouldn't mind if I could show up and state some goal piece that any piano teacher is going to know what I'm talking about. I wholly appreciate black metal is a niche and it's unlikely I'll meet a teacher who knows the ins and outs of all of it. So in that I'm hoping to find I guess some inspiration and direction into what primarily piano composers I should start looking at or what goal pieces I should have on my bucket list that would help pave my way.

Thanks in advance!

Further Youtubing:
The Insight and the Catharsis full band with everything together - skip to 5:30 for the most prominent keys parts

Agony Main Theme (classic Amiga game) by Tim Wright, slightly stolen by a previous keyboardist for Dimmu Borgir, Stian Aarstad (not Mustis who I spoke of above!), who has already been flogged and told off vigorously for being a bad plagiarising naughty man.

2022.01.20 08:15 Shadowolf75 Average Godzilla fan

Abilities, and their number, once again depend on the version. I could go for DAYS. Atomic breath, extreme durability, regeneration, and an amphibious nature are the most common powers.
Durability varies depending on the version, though in many cases it's not impossible to pierce the skin and make him bleed. It's been pretty common for Godzilla to have impressive regenerative power. Not quite Wolverine or Deadpool level, but enough to make it hard to kill him. Godzilla has thrown out nuclear shock waves on several occasions, even using them to kill Orga (Godzilla 2000), and cripple two different versions of Ghidorah (Godzilla: Final Wars, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)). In the very first Mechagodzilla movie, he also had nuclear-based magnetic powers and used this to Magneto his way to victory, but this has been the only time he's shown this ability. It's also worth noting that most versions are amphibious in nature, being just as much at home in the water as on land. Oh, and in exactly one movie, he flew, though it was theorized that he could evolve the ability in Shin Godzilla.
The Hanna-Barbara animated Godzilla had laser eyes and ordinary fire breath as opposed to the atomic breath used in all other appearances.
Most Godzillas have shown to be very intelligent, particularly the Showa, Heisei, and Legendary versions. Some Millennium-era Godzillas have also shown high degrees of intelligence, though a few are debatable. Shin Godzilla's intelligence is unknown, but a strong case could be made given its apparent tactical behavior in the final battle. The anime Godzillas (movie trilogy and Singular Point) seem to act more like territorial predators, though the intelligence of Godzilla Earth is obviously quite high given it outsmarted the trap set for it at Mechagodzilla City. Legendary Pictures' version also displays the behavior of a territorial predator, but has shown high degrees of intelligence and seems to recognize humans as an ally, or is at least willing to share alpha status with us. I think it's a mix of both, given his behavior after his rebirth in King of the Monsters, and that the alpha signal programmed into the plot ORCA device is a mix of Godzilla and human bio-acoustics.
Godzilla has received power-ups to his abilities as well. His atomic breath was given a boost by Fire Rodan in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1993). Godzilla is also apparently able to access this powered-up breath ray at will following this, as seen in Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla. However, he was permanently stuck on it after apparently absorbing too much energy and becoming Burning Godzilla, and becoming an immediate global threat. However, even THAT became exponentially stronger in the fight against Destoroyah. Like the Heisei Godzilla, Legendary-Goji could also absorb nuclear energy and become stronger for it. The nuke that Dr. Serizawa fed him overcharged him quite a bit, and Mothra's sacrifice also allowed him to go into his own version of Burning Godzilla. The atomic shock waves he created also contained Mothra's wing patterns and were accompanied by her cry. This would certainly not have been the case in any other circumstance of Legendary going Burning, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that it would also be as uncontrollable as Heisei Burning without Mothra's influence. In the graphic novel Godzilla: Aftershock, his spines were shattered by MUTO Prime, but he was able to generate an atomic pulse from his back because of this. This pretty much crippled MUTO Prime, giving Godzilla the chance to kill the oversized bug.
Shin Godzilla had a unique combination ability, in that it could evolve without reproducing, and that it could control this evolution. However, Shin could still reproduce, and did so asexually, but was still able to direct the evolution of its progeny. A similar "form-change" ability would later be utilized in Godzilla: Singular Point.
Godzilla Earth (anime movie trilogy) is one of the more unique Godzillas in that its biology is more akin to a metal-based plant than an animal. The prevailing theory is that it originated from plant-based life and ingested large amounts of metal in its development. It's basically a walking metal tree. It has no skeletal structure, virtually no body temperature, and has several magnetic-based abilities as well. It can create an EMP whenever it fires its atomic breath, generates electromagnetic fields from his body, absorb electromagnetic waves (making him difficult to detect from long range), and can even create a sort of EM shield beneath his skin. His EM abilities also give him increased swim speed. Earth reproduces asexually, can store energy internally over long periods of time, is capable of molecular management (which allowed him to outsmart the MG City trap), is incredibly durable, regenerates nearly instantaneously, and gained two new abilities after 20,000 years: A super oscillatory wave (basically, his roar could be used as a weapon), and a plasma cutter that he could launch with a swipe of his tail. Godzilla also successfully terraformed most of the planet over the 20,000 years that he ruled, with nearly all life on the planet now following his genetic lineage.
Singular Point's Godzilla is another unique one. It MAY be terrestrial, or it may actually come from a different dimension like the Archetype molecule that seems to be the basis of its evolution. It had a form-change ability like Shin Godzilla, but whether or not it controlled it in any way is unknown. I believe its triggered by some kind of energy absorption. Its first form was purely aquatic in nature, but after killing and consuming a Manda, it changed to an amphibious second form. It then breathed out a strange, freezing gas, but bombs dropped on it caused the gas to detonate, entombing the creature in its own burnt body. However, this was apparently a kind of chrysalis because it eventually emerged in a third form. After being attacked again, it manifested the ability to turn its blood into "tentacles" to intercept incoming attacks. It also gained the ability to fire atomic energy rings, which it used to kill a particularly large specimen of Rodan. I think it then consumed that Rodan and evolved into its final form, Godzilla Ultima, where it also gained its signature atomic breath. All four forms had the ability to generate and control Red Dust, the first phase (of thirteen) of Archetype. I believe it planned to use the Red Dust to terraform Earth and become the dominant life form. However, the extradimensional nature of the molecule would ultimately be the undoing of reality itself if it were left unchecked because every instance of the molecule in our spacetime is actually the SAME instance appearing in multiple places at once. What's more, it's not just the same instance appearing in multiple points in space, but in time as well. Too much of this would ultimately have shredded that reality and caused it to self-destruct.
