2022.01.22 11:38 Carlos1772001 Idea for a James Bourne aka Solo Movie
Recently I looked up characters that were similar to Jason Bourne in Marvel comics, and I found James Bourne aka Solo. He seems to be a relatively unknown character, but the gist is he’s one of those special forces characters who is insanely good at fighting with guns and hand to hand combat, as well as has the ability to teleport.
However, what's special about this film is that it will not be marketed as an MCU film, rather as a regular spy thriller. The way it will be "marketed" as an MCU film will be through leaks and rumors, like NWH was. The film will have a distinct look to it compared to the MCU films.
So here’s my idea for a James Bourne show or movie in the MCU
Title: Either “Solo” or “The Bourne Conspiracy” to pay tribute and reference the Bourne movies. The title will not indicate it is an MCU film.
Solo’s Origin in the MCU: it’s 2018 and he’s currently 18 years old. He’s a high school athlete and proficient at MMA. He doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life. That is until the snap occurs and he sees all of his loved ones turn to dust. There he enlists in the US Army Rangers and becomes one of the best Rangers there is. He works his way up the ranks until he eventually becomes a member of an elite unit called OMEGA STRIKE. Throughout his training in OMEGA STRIKE, he learns how to be proficient in espionage, hone in his hand to hand combat, and being a better soldiespy. This all takes place within a 3 year span. However after being betrayed by Gabriel Grant, a former teammate during a mission to assassinate a certain“ influential Eastern European political candidate”, he fakes his death and goes under the name Solo. In this time as Solo, he decides to go on an all out killing spree of criminals, terrorists and gang leaders while on the run. At one point revealing he worked with Ronin. This portion of his backstory won’t be focused on in the movie or show but it will be referenced.
Plot: James Bourne has been “dead” for over three years ever since being betrayed by Gabriel, all while trying to investigate a new terrorist group called ARES. In the movie it is revealed that Gabriel Grant was running ARES and they both fight each other. The plot is set around parts of the world that have not been shown within the MCU. Throughout the show or movie, NATO allies are trying to capture James Bourne as he has knowledge of all the shady stuff going on within those countries due to his background in Omega Strike. The reason he doesn’t tell the US government about what happened is because he knows that ARES has infiltrated NATO governments, so he doesn’t know who to trust. While he’s going around the world hiding and figuring out the mysterious organizations, we see how different countries try to handle Bourne. Some try to reason with him, others try to kill him. Bourne is essentially dealing with two enemies at once, the NATO governments and ARES. There will be numerous perspectives in the movie or show, James Bourne’s perspective, Gabriel Grant’s perspective and the various government’s perspectives. At one point in the movie or TV show, James Bourne enters the ARES base and gets as many files and data from the base. He looks through some files and it is revealed they’re researching a lot of occult stuff (how to access the multiverse, infiltrating the Masters of the Mystic Arts, the Darkhold, the Westview Incident, the Drone attack in London, essentially all of the big events in MCU Phase 4.) Final fight between Gabriel Grant and James Bourne and it’s easily one of the best fight scenes in the MCU, as it will be a hand to hand combat fight with solid martial arts coordination. The ending has Gabriel Grant not dying but instead getting arrested. Bourne decides to leak all these files to numerous whistleblowers (One of them being Daily Bugle), before disappearing yet again.
James Bourne’s MCU adaptation: Here he’s just a regular guy who’s very good at fighting and killing people. He has the physique of an MMA fighter (his body is focused on functionality over aesthetics). He doesn’t have the power to teleport like in the comics. He can be any race, as his race isn't integral to his character in the comics. I want to keep him as grounded as possible. Maybe later down the line he gets a device that lets him teleport, but in his first project, he’s your average joe. During his time in OMEGA STRIKE, we see him with the classic comic, but for most part, his outfits are very regular and lowkey. He’s got a dark past, doing hit missions for the US government, but he’s trying to use his skills for good this time, instead of doing it for a government. He takes some odd jobs as a mercenary to pay the bills, but he tries to stay moral, by only taking jobs that he agrees with, and killing those who give him jobs that he doesn't agree with.
The Governments in the MCU: How they handle Bourne will be based on real life tactics, as well as responses to events that happened in the MCU. Essentially they are giving us an insight as to how world governments have handled the crazy existence of the MCU for so long. We see them hiring superheroes and black widows to hunt down Bourne, as well as references to the Sokovia accords, protocols for a superhero attack in a city, the super soldier program and international relations within the MCU. We’ll follow real life agencies like the CIA and MI6 being interwoven within the MCU.
Ties to the overall MCU: Initially, the film is presented as a sort of standalone film that has nothing to do with the MCU. However, a few "leaks" will reveal that the movie is actually part of the MCU But it is later revealed that they have agents everywhere in all aspects of the MCU. They have agents in SWORD and Masters of the Mystics Arts. They also hired and broke Vulture out of prison to help develop weapons for them, as well as stolen and are attempting to replicate the super soldier serum. Essentially these guys have been involved in the MCU for some time, but have been keeping it a secret. The reason it’s presented as a standalone property first is to shock the viewers near the end and get them excited for the upcoming films.
Post Credit Scene: We cut back to the military base (Camp Lehigh) where James Bourne enlisted, and we see Flash Thompson enlisting for the military.
End Credit Scene: James Bourne is doing some research from all the files he got and he finds all those links to the MCU there. The big files we get are files researching the Darkhold, Dr Erskine’s serum formula, ARES’ ties to Hydra, radioactive Spiders from Stark Labs in New York, business deals with Powerbroker and Adrien Toomes, . The final file shows that ARES is spying on Spider Man for some reason, so James Bourne realizes that he needs to find this Spider Man guy to understand why ARES is so interested in him.
James Bourne’s future in the MCU: He’ll have a run in with Spider Man in Spider Man’s next movie. They both work together to take down Kingpin and ARES. We can have their ideals clashing, with Bourne being okay with killing criminals whereas Peter has a no kill rule. He also might meet Black Cat along the lines, and they might have a sort of relationship. If the movie is met positively, he’ll definitely have a sequel where he continues to explore all parts of the MCU (the galactic, the magic, the scientific sides, all of them) and how ARES is pulling strings from behind. He’ll cross paths with other superheroes and help them along the way.
ARES: They're a terrorist organization that sprung out of HYDRA. Essentially, they're trying to gain back their power by studying different aspects of the MCU. In Phase 1 and 2 it was SHIELD vs HYDRA, now, it is SWORD vs ARES.
Occurring MCU characters that could possibly show up or be referenced:
- General Ross: He’s trying to bring in James Bourne. In this story, General Ross is somehow involved with the botched OMEGA STRIKE unit, so he feels responsible for bringing him in.
- Yelena Belova: One of the NATO governments knows how dangerous Bourne really is, so they decide to hire Yelena to take him out.
- Clint Barton: Either a flashback during James’ time killing criminals, or maybe he’ll call for backup John Walker: He’s responsible for bringing in Bourne on behalf of the US government.
- Adrian Toomes: Might just cameo for a bit, but he’s revealed to have sold weapons to ARES during their rise to infamy. Maybe have him escape prison during that five year period to work with ARES.
-Powerbroker: She could also be revealed to be helping ARES in sabotaging the US Government. Perhaps revealed to have supplied them with super soldier serum as well.
-Victor Von Doom: He’s the “influential Eastern European political candidate” that OMEGA Strike was sent to assassinate.
- Peter Parker: A few references to Spider Man at the end. Also Bourne originally debuted in a Spider Man comic.
Marvel Characters that could debut or be referenced:
- Black Jack Tarr: He could be one of the agents dispatched by MI6 to hunt down Bourne. (Played by Daniel Radcliffe)
- Denis Nayland Smith: He’s head of Mi6 (Played by Ralph Finnes)
- Gabriel Grant: He’s the main antagonist of the movie (Played by Dylan O Brien)
- Captain Britain: A few references to him during scenes set in MI6 HQ, but he doesn’t make an appearance (Played by Henry Cavil)
- Black Cat: She’s revealed in the files as she’s been taking down ARES as well (Played by either Camila Mendes or Anya Taylor Joy)
Setting: A few months after Hawkeye, so maybe April or May 2025. The film jumps around areas of the world that the MCU hasn’t explored. I’m from the Philippines so it would be cool seeing an MCU movie that’s partially set there. Other countries that could be featured are Australia or New Zealand, countries in South and Central America, countries in Africa and countries in Asia.
Tone: This is supposed to be a spy action thriller. My inspiration is from movies like The Bourne Identity or the early Daniel Craig Bond films. During the first half of the movie, it’ll stay away from the MCU events, but then in the second half, it’ll do a complete 180 and embrace the MCU, while still maintaining the grounded and realistic tone. A lot of the action scenes are hand to hand combat, gun fights and chases. The hand to hand combat is less like Shang Chi or John Wick and more like Bourne Identity, where it’s gritty and hard action. No fancy gimmicks or moves, just two people fighting to survive. Gun fights are going to be chaotic and loud. It can be choreographed a bit to look nice, but it should still have a gritty feel to it. The gun fights in Extraction and Heat are a great example. Civilian casualties will occur and there will be grave consequences to each fight. Car chases won’t be with rich exotic cars but rather whatever is around. A lot of this is inspired by the Bourne movies, but I figure this would be perfect for the MCU, seeing a grounded take on espionage within a world filled with monsters, gods and aliens.
Rating: It would be nice to have an R rating, given how mature this film is, but instead it’ll just push the boundaries of being PG13, as there needs to be consistency and this movie will tie heavily into other projects as well.
How it serves the MCU: Essentially I'm trying to present this movie as a very grounded and realistic feeling spy movie. With so much multiversal and magic stuff going on in the MCU, I think a grounded spy action movie would be welcomed. I also want to explore the real world concepts within the MCU (foreign affairs, covert operations, politics) and how they would react to a world filled with superheroes, aliens, gods and monsters. Civil War and TFAWS tried to do that but for the most part Civil War stuck to comic book ideas and couldn’t dive too far into it and TFAWS was too divisive. When it comes to politics, i don’t want the movie to take one side and be a social commentary movie, but rather I want to show the audience “hey this is what the world would really be like if events and ideas from the MCU really existed”
Who should play Bourne: Personally i’d love to play him since he’s a badass spy character, but i’m not an actor. He should be played by a guy in his early to mid 20s. Just put him through the good old Marvel training routine and he should be good to go!
Who should direct this: Martin Campbell did a fantastic job with Casino Royale, so I think he'd be a great director for this, especially since this is dealing with rough and realistic action. The film will look significantly different from your typical MCU film.
Anyways this is my first ever written film idea, it may sound rough and amateur, so I’d love to hear some feedback!

2022.01.22 11:38 Intelligent_Tune_392 10 Advantages of Cryptocurrency in 2022
Crypto is a fairly new asset class that began with the creation of the Bitcoin blockchain in 2009. The primary advantage of Bitcoin and maximum other cryptocurrencies based on blockchain technology is that they do not have a central authority, payment processor, or company holder.
Rather, crypto networks are peer-to-peer, meaning people can transact directly with one another. Numerous of the more advantages of cryptocurrency stem from their decentralized and peer-to-peer nature. Let’s look at some positives of cryptocurrency in this crypto guide.
Advantages of Owning Crypto in 2022
1. Easy Transactions
Crypto transactions can be made lightly, at low cost, and in a manner more private than maximum other transactions. applying a simple smartphone app, hardware wallet, or exchange wallet, anyone can send and receive a variety of cryptocurrencies.
Some kinds of cryptocurrencies, containing Bitcoin, CRD Network, Litecoin, and Ethereum, can be bought with cash at a Bitcoin ATM. A bank account is not always needed to apply crypto. Someone could purchase bitcoin at an ATM applying cash then send those coins to their phone. For people who lack access to the classical financial network, this may be one of the biggest pros of cryptocurrency.
2. Incredible Security
Because they're based on cryptography and blockchain security, decentralized cryptocurrencies tend to make for secure forms of payment. This might be one of the most certain advantages of cryptocurrency.
Crypto security is determined in large part by hash rate. The high the hash rate, the further computing power it would take to compromise the network. Bitcoin is the most secure cryptocurrency, having the loftiest hash rate of any network by far.
Using a crypto exchange is only as secure as the exchange itself, however. maximum incidents of crypto being hacked involve exchanges being hacked or individuals making missteps.
3. Short Settlement Times and Low Fees
While some people only require to invest in cryptocurrency for price appreciation, others might discover advantage in the capability to apply crypto as a medium of exchange.
Bitcoin and Ether transactions could cost anywhere from nickels and dimes to several dollars or more. Other cryptocurrencies like, CRD, Litecoin, XRP, and others can be sent for pennies or lower. Payments for maximum cryptos settle in seconds or minutes. Wire transfers at banks can cost significantly further and continually grasp three to five business days to settle.
4. Exponential Industry Growth
The cryptocurrency industry has been one of the quickly-growing markets that maximum of us have seen in our lifetimes. Being involved now might nicely be compared to being involved with companies on the leading edge of the internet back in the 1990s and early 2000s.
The full market cap of the cryptocurrency market in 2013 was about $1.6 billion. By June 2021, it rose to over $1.4 trillion.
5. Outsized Returns
It’s no secret that Bitcoin has been the best- performing asset of the last 12 years. When it began in 2009, Bitcoin basically had no value. In the following times it would rise to a fraction of a penny and also finally to tens of thousands of dollars. This represents millions of percentage points’ worth of earnings. By comparison, the S&P 500 index of stocks returns an standard of about 8 per year.
Some altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin by wide margins at times, although numerous of those later saw their prices collapse. Earnings like these might be among the most well-known cryptocurrency benefits. (The losses, on the other hand, may be among the most well- known disadvantages.) Volatility has characterized prices in the crypto space, which has been one of the vital advantages of cryptocurrency for day traders and speculators.
6. Further Private Transactions
Privacy can be one of the advantages of cryptocurrency, but crypto is not as private as some people might suppose. Blockchains produce a public tally that records all deals ever. While this tally only shows wallet addresses, if an observer can connect a stoner’s identity to a specific wallet, also tracking deals becomes possible.
While it’s worth noting that maximum crypto transactions are pseudonymous, there are ways to make further anonymous deals. Coin mixing services group deals together in a way that makes it hard to pick them piecemeal from one another, confusing outside spectators. Individuals who run a full node also make their deals more opaque because spectators can not always tell if the deals running through the node were sent by the person running the node or by someone else.
strategies like these are for more advanced users and could prove tough for those new to crypto. So while absolute privacy is really not one of the main cons of cryptocurrency, transactions are still generally more private than using edict currency with third- party payment processors.
7. Inflation Hedge
Mine-able cryptocurrencies with a limited supply cap, like Bitcoin, CRD Network, Litecoin, and Monero, to name a many, are allowed to be good walls against affectation. Because financial affectation can do when central banks and governments publish further money, adding the supply, effects that are more scarce tend to appreciate in value.
With further and further new dollars chasing smaller and smaller coins, the price of these fixed-supply coins as measured in dollars has a advanced chance of going up. Also, the Bitcoin protocol, for sample, is also designed to keep those coins scarce anyhow of what happens with financial policy.
8. A More Inclusive Financial System
Some of the advantages of cryptocurrency extend to people who do not have access to the classical financial network. Due to its decentralized and permission-less nature, one of the advantages of cryptocurrency is that anyone can participate.
People do not have to have permission from any financial authority or government to use the crypto ecosystem. (Though it’s worth noting that Bitcoin mining is banned in China.) They also do not ineluctably need to have a bank account. There are billions of people moment who are “ unbanked,” meaning they've no access to the financial system, including bank accounts. With crypto, all these people need is a smartphone, and they can basically come their own bank.
9. Transactional Freedom
One of the skillful advantages of crypto is that it can be used to exchange value between two parties. This can be done independently of any third- party, making the transaction freer and censorship-resistant.
Banks or other payment processors can choose to cut off services to anyone for any reason. This can make effects tough for some intelligencers, political dissentients, or other individuals working in nations with oppressive government regimes. Because there's no central authority governing Bitcoin or most other cryptocurrencies, it’s really tough to stop anyone from applying them.
10. 24/7 Markets
Stock markets are only open on weekdays during the regular business hours of 930 am to 430 pm Eastern Time, in the case of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). During nights, weekends, and on holidays, maximum traditional financial markets aren't open for business.
Crypto markets, on the other hand, trade 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without exception. Some of the only effects that could interrupt a person’s capability to trade cryptocurrency would be a power outage, internet outage, or centralized exchange outage.

2022.01.22 11:38 MoonlitKhonsu LEGO Pirates might actualy be coming back !!!
Ok so I posted a tweet here a week here ago from lego which included a lego pirates animated clip, asking if people think lego pirates are coming back, now they posted another tweet with a lego pirates clip, but also this time someone replyed asking if lego pirates are getting revived and lego replyed " Ahoy! We never know what our master builders will come up with next so watch this space. "
Now I'm realy hoping that this is some indication that there might be a new wave of lego pirates set's on the horizon (pun intended), but I don't want to get my hopes up cause at the end of the day it's just a tweet.
Have a nice day.
