2021.12.01 09:28 WynterWarrior56 First Fountain Pen! Tips?
My first fountain pen should arrive today. Any suggestions on where to begin? Tips/tricks?
Also, how do you make use of your pen(s) and ink?
Obviously writing in general, but I’m curious to see how y’all foster your love for the pens.
I’m looking forward to joining the community and hopefully falling in love with something classic yet new to me.

2021.12.01 09:28 TheeAlmightyGamer When do you think that Jesus should return?
I am not a Christian but I wanted a Christian perspective on this. Regardless of what it says in the bible, when do you think Jesus should have returned/will return?
Multiple answers are cool with me, I am just trying to get your opinions on this.

2021.12.01 09:28 Rasrockey19 Mechanical engineering student in need
I am a mechanical engineering student from Aalborg University in need of some help, as this is my first time working with medical imaging. I am currently working on an exoskeleton, and to find the correct spots to attach it, we will need to find the Glenohumeral joint rotation centre. The most precise way to do that is to use MRI or CT images converted to an STL file. I have recived an MRI of the shoulder joint, but i am having some trouble processing these images. I have been using the "3D Slicer" software to load my DICOM images (IMA actually, if it matters), and convert to STL. But it seems the images are taken in a small slice at a time (see here; https://imgur.com/a/CbtFqwO). This means my 3D models only are about 50mm wide (about 2"), i have 7 series of images. My question is this: Is it possible to combine these images to one, complete scan. Or do you know some tricks i could use to get my desired result?
Thank you for your time.

2021.12.01 09:28 rodrod7 how to see older instgram posts
is there any way to view posts that are two years as from one account?
I am comparing image styles from today with those from two three years ago for my bachelor thesis.
If I just scroll down, no matter if on my mobile or on the computer, it stops at some point although there should still be enough posts.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

2021.12.01 09:28 Xcame Why do CN of CA and issued cert have to be different?
We we‘re playing around with Apache and client certificate authentication. Set up a CA created a csr, issued the cert and the verification of it against the ca.crt failed.
After testing we found out that it fails when the csr contains the same information as the ca crt.
Changing one information (CN, DN, OU, etc. ) produced a verifiable certificate.
Is it a technical limitation? Is it expected behavior? Is there a logical reason?

2021.12.01 09:28 countessan Would love some help with a baby girl name!
Me and my SO are expecting a baby in June. We have a name figured out for a boy (family name that we both like) but for a girl we are stuck. So far we have names that one of us likes and the other is alright with but nothing that feels like awesome for both of us. The middle name will be Marie after my mother and the last name will be a double name, one typical old patronymicon (think Ericson) and a one syllable nature name. So something like this:
——— Marie Ericson-Woods
Contenders (but maybe not ”the one”): Edith, Iris, Astrid, Livia, Sylvie, Eira.
I don’t love that most of the names we like are 2 syllable names because I don’t feel that, in our language, 2 syllable names lend themselves to nicknames very well. He likes but is not sold on Livia.
We also considered something like Aurora or Odette but we are a little scared it will not go well with our very ordinary last names.
Thank you all in advance!

2021.12.01 09:28 Zanzibear Heated vest for uninsulated barn in the winter?
I was hoping to get some opinions from y’all about how to help my mother stay warm while working in the barn during cold Nebraska winters. I was going to buy her a forced air propane heater, but I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t use it because the noise may scare her horses.
Anyway, a friend suggested I look into battery powered heated vests, any thoughts? My mom is getting older so I would love to get her something to stay warm and comfortable without adding bulk.
Is there a better option? Or what brands do y’all like?

2021.12.01 09:28 nikomaniac Change the backlight timeout for my MX Keys keyboard [FeatureRequest]
where can I submit this feature request? It is really annoying that the keyboard turns off the backlight so fast, I know that there is a ambient sensor, which works but that still causes a small delay every time.
Overall a great keyboard but this is an inconvenience.

2021.12.01 09:28 m_26_7_ Open Play Goals
Not to piss on any parades after last nights brilliant result, but it suddenly struck me not only are we scoring less goals than last season, but we're crucially struggling to score from open play recently, especially at home.
Of the 13 goals we've scored this season, as far as I can tell, 9 have been from open play - 5 of these were in the first 5 games, with only 4 in the last 9.
As well as this, there is a large imbalance with 6 coming from our 7 away games (Scum, Burnley, Newcastle, Norwich, Spurs) compared to only 3 in our 7 home matches (Everton x2, West Ham), with none in our last four home matches.
The key differential between the first five and the last nine is, of course, Paddy Bamford.
Whilst he hopefully is close to returning, it is still pretty alarming how stark the difference is between our ability to score, and frankly create chances, from open play in his absence.
Fingers crossed for a healthy Bamford for the rest of the season!
