So I swear every time Kazuya does twin piston, I end up ducking or mashing in the middle of it. Dunno why, but is there another very very similiar move he does that maybe I'm subconsciously mistaking it for?

2021.12.04 13:49 Intrusiver Why bible-has different understandings instead of clear messages that do not allow room for disagreements?
For example, there is at least an orthodox christian who believes that forgiveness comes after confessing to Jesus through the presence of a priest (sacrament). That was the opinion of a greek orthodox monk who even said that people are doomed in hell if they do not confess in the presence of a priest.
I think there are many christians who believe it and they support it with the verse of John that says about forgiving and retaining sins.
Some say that we can ask forgiveness alone. Why there is no clear message about it?

New club trying to get enough players together to start having regular games, freerolls for all members, bonuses, and anything that members request really. Just trying to create a fun place where people can enjoy some poker. No hand counts for freerolls or anything like that, low rake, and most of it will be coming back to y'all in bonuses and freerolls if we can make this happen. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. 2021.12.04 13:49 KetoLifter21 Transfer on Death Deed House Sale
I shared a house with my best friend and roommate for 10 years. Five years ago he set up a transfer on death deed with the house transferring to me if he passed. Well, last year he became very sick with cancer and after an eight-month battle, passed away. The house was transferred to me in January. I did some updating and repairs, put the house on the market, and it sold right away in March. The house sold for $300k, there was a $165k mortgage on it in his name, I netted around $135,000 from the sale. I lived there for about 10 years with him, doing maintenance around the house, paying for utilities, as well as contributing towards the mortgage payment. I am meeting with a tax professional next week but wanted to get your opinion on my situation. What sort of responsibility will I have on the money from the sale? Some articles I read it seems like I'll be on the hook for 15%, others 0% since I lived there for 10 years in the house. Thanks for any input.

I printed a copy of the Rules Cyclopedia and have been solo playing the rules to test them all. Truthfully I'm in love with the game, but after reading the rules for encumbrance, I'm a bit confused. There appear to be no negatives to being tall, so I've built most of my characters as tall Adonises. I like to imagine this is intentional game design, that those with larger builds will be better adventurers due to loot, but I'm just making sure: there are no benefits to being small height wise?

2021.12.04 13:49 Lupus_Deorum A Guide to Not Appearing Anti-Semitic
I suspect the people who need to read this aren't going to, but I have to try.
For most Gentile Canadians, the idea of Israel is an abstract; for the most part, they’ve never been there, they don’t speak Hebrew or Arabic, and they don’t know much about the country. It’s a tiny country on the other side of the planet that gets a vastly disproportionate amount of news coverage that makes it look like a pretty brutal place.
For Jewish Canadians, Israel is a real place:
-86% of Jewish Canadians believe that caring about Israel is an important or essential part of being Jewish
-80% have visited the country
-17% have lived there for 6 months or longer
-7% were born there
(2018 Survey of Jews in Canada)
It’s the homeland of their people that they were driven from by invaders, the first place in thousands of years where Jews are always and will always be welcome. It’s a multi-ethnic liberal democracy in the middle of a region where such things are unheard of. It’s a country that Jews, Christians, Druze, and Muslims fight side-by-side to defend. It’s where their cousins live, where they got really drunk at a Purim party one year, where they went to their first Pride parade.
It’s also a deeply problematic country; that’s not news to Jewish Canadians. Arab Israelis still fight to receive the same rights as other citizens; Jewish settlements being built in the West Bank undermine the peace process, infringe on Palestinian rights, and make Israelis as a whole less safe. Gaza, while not a part of Israel, is a mess. Far right Jewish Israelis seem to go out of their way to make things worse at every opportunity.
For most Gentile Canadians, anti-semitism is also an abstract; they haven’t spent their whole life seeing it first hand, so it’s easy to assume it’s just not as big a deal as Jewish Canadians make it out to be. That’s why intellectuals like Yves Engler feel justified writing that anti-semitism in Canada is grossly blown out of proportion and not a real problem (https://dissidentvoice.org/2016/04/anti-semitism-the-most-abused-word-in-canada/) despite police statistics showing that anti-Jewish crimes make up more than 20% of hate crimes in the country (https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/85-002-x/2021001/article/00013-eng.htm), more than any other religion. That’s why “criticizing Israel/supporting Palestinians isn’t anti-semitic” has probably been the most common post on this Reddit for the last few months.
And yes, of course that’s true, you don’t need to say it for 5 millionth time. No one has said that criticizing Israel is anti-semitic. The issue is that the line between a reasonable, considered, nuanced criticism of Israel and blatant anti-Semitism is a thin membrane, so thin that many people act like it’s not there at all.
Just a couple days ago, a moderator in this Reddit posted an article (https://yvesengler.com/2021/11/30/latest-instalment-of-paul-zatzman-anti-green-soap-opera/), also by Yves Engler, that was FULL of anti-semitic tropes. It imagined a vast “Zionist” conspiracy to destroy the Green Party based on the rock solid evidence that one of Noah Zatzman’s old friends gave him a job after the Green Party exploded. They both have ties to Israel, so it must be a Zionist conspiracy from the "Israel lobby" right? (86% of Jewish Canadians believe that caring about Israel is an important or essential part of being Jewish. 80% have visited the country).
A few months ago, the same moderator insisted over and over again, no matter how many people told him he was being anti-semitic (8 people), that Earl Cherniak, the moderator in the labor dispute between Annamie Paul and the Green Party council, had a conflict of interest because he was a member of a pro-Israel professional organization (The International Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists). Of course this isn’t being anti-semitic, because it’s about Israel not about being Jewish (86% of Jewish Canadians believe that caring about Israel is an important or essential part of being Jewish).
Another person posted an article today about a poor, innocent woman dragged through the mud just for expressing support for Palestinians. The fact that she also publicly claimed that “Zionists” are greedy Nazis who control the media wasn’t mentioned, but that’s okay because she’s talking about Zionists.
You want to criticize Israel and support Palestinians; that’s wonderful. You should do so, but you need to remember:
1) Look carefully at the people who share that cause. Only a small percentage of the people who support the Palestinians are anti-semites, but pretty much all anti-semites support the Palestinians, and they can be as vocal and persuasive as anybody. Consider the source, consider their biases, and think carefully about what they’re saying before you spread it around.
2) Remember that while Israel might be a boogeyman to you, to Jewish Canadians it’s a place near and dear to their heart. I can guarantee they know about its flaws better than you, and screaming at them about apartheid isn’t going to help you or the Palestinians any.
3) "Zionist" doesn't mean "supports Israeli expansion and oppression of Palestinians"; it just means anyone who is supportive of Israel, which, again, includes the vast majority of Jewish people in Canada. It's also used VERY FREQUENTLY by anti-semitic people to pretend they're not being anti-semitic ("Zionists control the media" from the woman in today's article is a great example).
4) Educate yourself about anti-semitism and try to be more sensitive about the classic tropes. If you’re throwing around anything suggesting a conspiracy, or divided loyalties, or greed, maybe reconsider. Best case scenario, it’s going to be a HUGE dogwhistle to people who ARE anti-semitic even if you’re not.
I’m just going to end this with the Green Party of Canada’s official stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, because it’s actually quite nuanced and contains recommendations that could help make real progress. Heck, it’s one of the things that attracted me to the Green Party in the first place:
The conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians is often viewed as intractable and irresolvable. More than three regional wars and two Intifadas have left deep scars on the bodies and in the minds of the people of this troubled region. Strongly held views and historical claims are well entrenched on both sides, making this a complex and crucial conflict to understand. It is an unfortunate and continued source of tension for many in the Middle East and around the world.
It should be clear that continued support and use of military or insurgency strategies will not bring about an end to the conflict. The cycle of violence, loss of life, and desecration of human rights must come to an end.
The Green Party of Canada believes that any effort aimed only at one side in this conflict will not end the violent responses that exacerbate human suffering. Canada’s role in the Middle East should be to reduce tensions, find working solutions, and uphold international humanitarian law, not to take sides in this chronic conflict. We must work towards a mutually acceptable compromise that will achieve a lasting peace between, and among, the Israelis and Palestinians.
The Green Party supports a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict that addresses the security, economic, and religious concerns of both sides.
Diplomatic efforts to build constructive relationships between the two communities are required. Continued dialogue will build community support for the negotiated peace agreement, and will ease implementation and ensure that it does not break down from pressures within the Palestinian and Israeli communities.
