My son has always slept through the night, but when he recently was sick with RSV I obviously let him get sleep whenever he needed it, and wasn’t a huge stickler on his bedtime. His bed time is usually 8/830. He usually wakes up around 7. But since he’s been feeling better these last three or so days, he goes to bed easy at 8.. but wakes up at 11 or so and stays up two or three hours. I tell him he has to lay down, and the kid will lay there literally awake for two hours only occasionally fighting to get up. Anyway, I’m about two weeks from having a baby, I know his sleep schedule will probably be disrupted then, do I just let this go and let him do his thing? I didn’t even put him on a schedule to begin with, he did it himself. Or do I continue to try and get him to sleep at bed time again? I just don’t know what to do especially with a new baby, it’s going to be utter chaos. I’m a SAHM and my husbands out of town often and his schedule is insane so I will from time to time let my son stay up to see his dad- so I am having a later bedtime is it necessarily horrible I just don’t know if it’s the best route of action. Honestly this is just a bunch of rambling somebody just help me 🤣

I just came back to the game after a while, but as far as I've seen its still as grindy as ever. You have to make 3 trips to the limestone areas to get any decent amount of stone or iron, and getting wood is starting to become more and more of an issue.
atm I'm trying to make a recycler and refined furnace, but what do you know I don't have any nails to make an iron axe so I can make oak planks. I just died with a full set of brand new armor in a forest on a quest to hopefully get some god forsaken aluminum, but every time I go to any red zone some big guy rushes me and nearly kills me before I can do anything. It's getting extremely frustrating, as I've now run out of grass to make more fabric for more armor, I still don't have aluminum, and it seems the only thing I can really do right now is collect stone and wood. I don't really know what to do :(
I don't have any ranged weapons to try to take on a bunker, and one of the towers I don't have any of the scrap metal. I know you can make guns but as far as I can see having a recycler is what is going to make my life 20x easier, but I don't have the aluminum to make it! Which kinda just seems to bring me full loop, i need armor so i can explore red zones (and hopefully not die) so I can get aluminum to make guns to make exploring red zones safer.
It's been a long time since I started the game, so maybe I'm not playing it right. I'm around level 70, though I don't know if that helps much.
And does the business character benefit your main? or is it just there? I'm struggling with that one as well but I havent played on it enough to know why.

Long time spectator, first time contributor. Here’s my thoughts on what I think would specifically aid the game, because we all would like to see it great right? 343s made something good, and it has the potential to be great. Let’s encourage that with feedback and ideas, rather than just discourage its faults. Here’s others’ ideas as well as my own from observations and playing.
Ravager -needs more damage. One direct charged shot should kill immediately. One proximity charged shot should kill over quicker time for enemies remaining in flames. It takes too long to charge up for it to be useful otherwise, and bullets are too slow to make better use of every shot needed to kill (currently it takes 3 full bursts in which every shot hits to kill.) Other solutions include decreasing time to charge up and tightening the bullets to shoot closer together.
Gravity hammer -louder distinct sound could help leveling the playing field a bit. The ability to notice when a gravity hammer wielder is nearby could reduce how OP the hammer is, as well has given it a memorable identity (a problem many of the weapons have actually. How can they sound powerful and distinct/memorable?)
-add faster melee. This weapon shouldn’t be entirely useless when up close and out of time. The point of melee is it’s a fast solution, but the GH melee is as slow as the normal attack. This also makes it useless against energy swords, even when the enemy is at low health. Energy sword currently dominates CQC with no rival.
-Distance it takes to kill fully shielded enemy feels inconsistent. Could be just me though
-Greater gravity effect would be cool, but unnecessary.
Spankr -Great design. Would love to see the sound be reminiscent of past. Maybe optional modification. Personal preference
Stalker Rifle -Reduce the zoom. This weapon works best as a carbine, so reducing the zoom can help nail in its purpose (another problem many weapons suffer from is confusing purpose). Some weapons seem to offer functions that contradict their purpose, making it difficult to know how to use them.
-Raise the damage. Though then the weapon’s purpose will rival that of the shock rifle
Shock Rifle -increase damage. It’s currently both a dmr and a sniper, though a worse version of either. It offers sniper-like damage (though not quite) but with dmr zoom, and a confusing ammo output. I personally think it’d work great and interestingly as a dmr, with faster ammo output for less damage (this would mean no one-head-shot-kill), but another solution would be slightly more damage with added zoom, to lean into the sniper-class.
-show true ammo. It’s deceiving to say it has 12 shots but to have each shot take up 3 bullets. If there’s a reason for this I don’t know it, so forgive me if I’m just unknowing.
Needler -Raise the sound and make it more distinct. In past games, everyone knew when the needler was being used. Especially when used against you. Now, someone can sneak up behind and unload enough of a clip to kill without the person ever knowing until it’s too late. This gun has perfect damage and speed, but it needs to be defensible against. Making it more audibly noticeable would help with that. If I’m in range to be shot by it, I should be in range to hear it as well.
Bulldog -You’ve heard it already. This needs to be one shot kill at close enough range. Or else make it much faster. It needs to be able to compete with the energy sword.
Mangler -Great gun. Great balancing. No notes. Although, one shot head shot could make things more interesting (in my opinion)
Commando -Worst gun in the game. Too much recoil for how much damage it puts out. Too fast for its ammo. Currently completely useless. Worse than BR, worse than AR, I have no reason to use it. Solutions include less recoil or more damage, or lean fully into it being semi-automatic.
BR -perfect. Well done. (Though I miss the old sound of it. Many do, I believe. Adding a muzzle attachment that includes the old sounds would be easy brownie points for old fans. I’d even pay for it!—earning is always better though)
AR -perfect. Well done. You’ve done well with the guns that truly matter.
Plasma Pistol -this isn’t about sandbox so much as tradition. Some things you just don’t change. Show us you understand Halo and you have respect for those that came before you. Let us disable vehicles with it. Or at least offer a modification that does. For free unlock. This would be unique in the sandbox still because the shock weapons are faster and take more to disable, whereas the plasma pistol is slower but only takes one.)
-More damage. Slightly more. It’s crazy how much it takes to kill an unshielded enemy. This gun shouldn’t be useless if out of reach of a melee. Unshielded, it takes 3 shots to the head, but 10 to the body. This is a huge disparity. 4-5 to the body seems reasonable and more balanced.
-Slightly less time to charge up fully.
Plasma rifle -bring it back. Or else something to compete with the AR. The pulse carbine is actually a good gun, but there’s currently no banished/Covenant competitor with the AR. Easy brownie points for fans too, who don’t care so much about perfect sandbox as enjoying the long traditions of halo. Some things you don’t change.
Pulse Carbine -Currently useless up close. Not sure of solution. Great at midrange though.
Heatwave -Nit-picky thing: I think most players would enjoy it more if the default setting was vertical. That’s obviously the anti-player setting, as opposed to the anti-vehicle horizontal. Many don’t know how to use it because it defaults at horizontal, so they use it horizontal. But most interactions will be pvp and not player v vehicle. Good gun otherwise though. Unique shot sound would make it better, as with all.
Sentinel beam -Less damage for more stability would make this gun more used, I believe. Halo 3 is evidence of this. Difficult to kill moving enemies for players who aren’t pro. If going with this method, wider beam would also help.
Sniper Rifle -Slightly bigger reticle to appeal to general players. Many guns seem too catered to pros. General player should be able to pick up and use every weapon in sandbox.
Skewer -same as Sniper Rifle. Bigger reticle and area of effect if it’s going to be a one-shot-reload. Perhaps for slower bullet to balance.
-Great gun btw. Genius idea. Very on theme for the brutes.
Cindershot -perfect. Best gun you’ve made.
Hydra -Confusing if it’s a power weapon or general weapon. Damage output seems somewhere in between.
Fuel Rod gun -Bring it back. Currently little to rival the Spankr. Skewer is more of a rival to the sniper. The appeal of the rocket is area-effect. You don’t need to hit on target to kill. The appeal of the fuel Rod gun that differed itself from the spankr was a faster bullet output for lower damage (requiring two hits to kill instead of one), with a rival area effect to compete.
Disruptor -Slightly higher damage, or more ammo.
Energy Sword -Sounds like I’m squeezing an orange rather than slicing an enemy. Adding on to this sound could be interesting and a proper blend between old and new. Sound feels incomplete though and unmemorable. Makes me thirsty though.
Banshee -Drives too fast. Drives normally as fast as past games’ Banshee boosted. Boost in Infinite makes it way too fast. Seems balanced for campaign open world, but in multiplayer it’s useless except as a battering ram. Cannon should kill one shot. Enemies too easily get away because damage is low and reload too long, and with how easy it is to highjack now, banshee damage needs a buff.
-Stronger. Now that there’s so many more weapons able to take down vehicles, some need to be stronger. Banshee is too fragile. Nobody wants to use it because it’s a death sentence. Skewer should kill 2 shot and rocket should kill one shot. Biggest problem is sniper rifle. Kills way too easily. Sniper is too available for it to be so powerful against vehicles that are not available as often.
Wasp -Too fragile.
-Missiles should kill on impact. See hornet for example of proper missile balance
Warthog -Too fast and light. Easily swerves into rocks and debris, easily flies off small hills and flips over. Not satisfying to drive and takes intense focus not to flip over.
-Engine sounds hardier, but modifications to sound like previous warthogs would be huge brownie points. Halo has always been memorable by its weapon/vehicle sounds. The option to return to those, while still making 343 Changes the default would be only appreciated and praised. Making them modifications to earn would increase their value to players as well.
Ghost -Great. Well done. Maybe slightly too heavy, but not a big complaint
Chopper -Obvious. Make it destroy vehicles with one charge. Useless otherwise. It’s an anti-vehicle vehicle. Shouldn’t be easier to destroy vehicles by shooting than by charging.
-Make it lighter to drive and turn, but heavier when flying off hills. It flies too far and is more often a death trap. Reducing how long a charge is would help with this too.
-Center of weight is confusing too. Feels like I’m driving a snake that’s both too heavy and too light.
-Make sound more distinct and heard. A blind man should be able to tell what’s going on. That’s the goal to shoot for.
Mongoose -Too fast, flips too easily.
Rocket Warthog -Higher damage or bigger damage-area
Gauss Hog -We need it back. It’s just, so cool. Maybe with less damage than Halo 3’s (Way OP!)
Razorback -Great idea. Objective and co-op friendly. Well done.
Scorpion -It’s harder to move because the player must be facing specific directions for it to move in specific ways. Past games were easier to use because you could turn the entire thing around solely using the left analog stick. Not sure if every game, but the best-tanked games.
Wraith -No idea. Never had the chance to use it. Only seen it once.
Quality of life: -takes too long to unflip vehicles. Make it quicker, especially if vehicles are going to flip so easily.
-Free basic colors/Primary-Secondary color customization, to beat a dead horse.
-Emblem color customization
-Emblem stacking. Further player creativity sorely lacking currently. Follow forges model: give us the tools, not just the creations.
-Alter emblem placement on spartan and weapons. Could offer unique helmet alterations as well if able to place emblem on helmet. Emile for reference.
-Don’t wait until the end of the game to give us the big vehicles. Feels like an after thought, or like the game forgot to give us the best part. Gatekeeping the best vehicles feels insulting, and like you don’t trust us to enjoy what you’ve made.
-Slightly more aim-assist. Largely why melee feels so off, I believe. Feels catered to pros.
-Better default settings, particularly pertaining to Look Sensitivity and Acceleration. Again feels catered to pros who play with highest sensitivity and who train accuracy, or PC.
-Slightly less distance to melee
-Player collision (we all would like this)
-Points for medals. Incentive to play the game well, and incentive to play after completing all weekly challenges.
-Earnable in-game currency.
-Specifically earned armor. Nothing better than earning Recon or Hayabusa in the past. Only earned. Some things are fine bought, but some things should be trophies and trophies only. Would love to see some wearable trophies for completing something hard (Legendary, LASO, specific campaign-challenges, really difficult boss, etc)
-Cross-core armor. More player expression at no expense to developers is a good thing only.
-Increased player-replacement bot skill level. Currently they’re just free kills for the enemy team.
-Option to disable Cross-play
-Bundle XP boosts and challenge-swaps with higher ticket unlocks so it feels less crowded and muddled. Nobody wants to level up and only earn a Boost/Swap. These are secondary prizes.
-Teabag weapon charm. Yes, this is quality of life fixture.
Dumb (or genius) ideas: -Make Craig a Campaign mini-boss with his own lore and story and give us something really weird and really cool for beating him (or helping him?)
-Elite/Brute inspired spartan armor? That would be dope. Just saying.
-Elite wort-wort headshot skull. Shoot elites in the head—> “Wort-wort-wort!”
-Give one grunt a skewer and when he shoots it he flies 200 feet backwards and immediately dies. If he hits you you get an achievement.
-Stupid weapon variants. Golf club for gravity hammer, water gun for sentinel beam, etc. If Halos always had anything, it’s character and personality. Recent non-lore armor is a great example. Go all out with it! Non-lore weapons and weapon variants would be fun.
-Multiplayer Match-music option. Who doesn’t want to go on a killing spree with Halo 2s electric guitar in the background?
-Grunt birthday party Kill Effect (headshots only, of course)

I was reading the review of the proctored home test and saw a few comments about guests that weren't able to test in time at a pharmacy.
I was all gung-ho to book Walgreen appointments when they becomes available (still 6 weeks or so away before we can book for our departure window) but that made me nervous and now I'm considering a home test.
Does anybody have any horror stories for either type of test? Things I should be on the lookout for?
